I like Corbin myself today. Also I'm taking a chance with Reds rookie Todd Redmond.

I'm with you guys on Corbin, the problem is and I think we all saw a lot of this with Medlen is that a lot of people will be owning him tonight. Will that change who I will pick at the moment, not really. Just something I am throwing out there.

Guy I couldn't agree more on Corbin tonight. This guy has been on fire with his 2-0 record the last 3 games and an ERA of 1.89 and WHIP of 0.89. He is averaging just over 6 K's per game the last 3 while allowing just 4 hits per game and just under 2 walks per game. He gets to face a Houston offense tonight that is hitting just .209 the last five games against lefties and is averaging just 0.77 runs per 9 innings the last 5 vs lefties. Oh plus Houston is one of the worst in the league for strikng out.

Pangea, I understand where you are coming from. Look at it this way though if alot of guys take Corbin then it is a good challange to see if you can pick better hitters than your opponents. If you want to stay away from Corbin I would look at spending the money on Cole Hamels. He is priced high but man he is averaging 17.7 points per game on fanduel the last 3 games. Milwaukee is only hitting like .194 against him also. I just don't like the run support Philly will give him. That team is so inconsistent on the offensive side of the ball.

I agree with you jeeps, I am a big fan of just putting together the best team you can and not worrying about your opponent, especially in 50/50 and H2H. In GPP I might try something different then everybody else in hopes of a big payday. It was just something I noticed and thought I would throw out there.

Good luck today my daily fantasy peeps!

What do you guys think about Edwin Jackson tonight as another cheap pitching alternative to Corbin? I think Washington has a good chance to win the game tonight and Jackson has stuck out less than 6 batters just once in his last 5 starts. He has pitched pretty well against the Mets this season giving up just 2 and 3 ERs in his two starts.

Blue, Jackson is not all that bad of a play tonight. The thing that scared me away from him was that Jon Niese is pitching for the Mets. Neise has been pretty solid as of late for the Mets going 2-1 the last 3 with a 2.57 ERA and 1.05 WHIP. Washington is hitting just .204 against lefties the last 5. I didn't want to gamble on if Washington was going to end their recent struggles against lefties tonight against a hot pitcher. Nice price on him though.

Yes, I agree with you there that the Nats could struggle offensively tonight. I am hoping their bats stay hot.

Is this Corbin guy on any type of pitch count? It looks like Corbin has not gone over 100 pitches in any of his starts. This could limit him to only 6 innings pitched where as if Jackson is on, and the Nats have a lead, he may go into the 7th or 8th.

I did a league with each starter so I hope they both cruise tonight and throw no-no's. Best of luck to everyone tonight.

Well guys Corbin did enough to get me to place again. Blue had the right guy in Edwin Jackson who had 11 k's in 7 innings of work. Here is what I am looking at for tonight.

I am going to spend the money today and take Matt Latos. Latos has been on fire going 1-0 with a 0.42 ERA and a WHIP of 0.84 the last 3 games. Latos is allowing just 4 hits per game the last 3 games while averaging 7 innings per game and almost 6 k's per game over that span. Latos will face a Cubs team who is hitting just .179 against him. Throw in the fact that Latos is 4-0 during day games with 3.19 ERA, a 0.95 WHIP and opponents hit just .191 against him during the day.

The price is high but he should be worth it.

                                    Agree with Matt Latos today

Hey I can't complain. Latos went 8 innings, 6 K's and allowed 2 ER (the other 2 were unearned). The W would have been nice but I was still able to place in the 50/50 league I played on fanduel.

Time to start looking at today's numbers

Well looking over todays pitchers I have decided I will spend the money on Roy Halladay. We are starting to see the Roy Halladay that us Philly fans where hoping to see all season. Halladay is 2-1 with a 1.64 ERA and a WHIP of 0.59 his last 3 games. He is allowing 3.7 hits per game over that span while averaging 7.3 innings per game and 6.7 strikeouts per game over the last 3 games. Halladay gets to face a Reds team today that is hitting just .225 against him. Over the last 5 starts against the Reds Halladay is averaging 8 innings per game, 8.4 strikeouts per game, 1 walk per game with a 1.58 ERA. Philly is 4-1 in those 5 starts.

The Price is on the higher side but there are still some good options to fill out your lineup that won't cost so much.

Run Line is moving against Halladay pretty violently today. CIN SP Leake only has 1 ER and .44 WHIP in his last 2 starts too.

Ugh, Halladay had to be one of the worst performances out there today considering his price. However, he did get the W!

Not a great night in fantasy baseball for me. I really thought after that first inning that Halladay was settling down and he was gonna control that game. I was watching the game and he got plenty of run support but his K's were down and the reds did hit some nice pitches. They didn't do too much chasing of that curveball and slider that most teams do on him, which is why the K's where down.

You can't win them all. Time to start looking at tonight's games.

Koz-man, becareful man. The Reds are hot right now. They are hitting the all extremely well and have been doing it real well against lefties. over the last five games the Reds are hitting .291 against lefties while averaging 8.53 runs per nine innings against lefties over that span. They really should have won that game last night but Mike Leake was horrible. He was missing spots and the Phillies just took advantage of that. Philly struggles with Homer Baily also hitting just .198 against him. As a Philly fan I hope Lee has a good game but man tonight is going to be tough.

I am loking at Adam Wainwright tonight. Wainwright has been outstanding with his 3-0 mark the last 3 games in which he has a 1.64 ERA and a WHIP of 0.86. Wainwright loves pitching against the Astros. The guy is 5-0 his last 5 starts against Houston with a 0.98 ERA while averaging 6.2 k's per game and 7.33 innings pitched in those 5 games. We all know Houston struggles to hit the ball and they strikeout way too much. The only thing I am not liking is the Cards are struggling to hit the ball right now. St Louis is hitting just .162 the last 5 games against righties and are averaging just 1.12 runs per 9 innings over that span against righties. Its a tough call for me only because the other pitchers I was looking at was David Price who is going to cost way too much and Chris Tillman who has good numbers against Texas and is priced really cheap but Texas is a scary team they can open up that offense any given night.
