Igor has pinpoint precision with his hands and serious power (dropped Te Huna multiple times, would've finished JTH if he wasn't saved by the bell in rd 2; put Bonnar on rollerskates; finished KSos, etc.).

Maldonado is a brawler who keeps his hands low, relying on his chin to take a hit so he can throw his hands.

I think that's a bad recipe versus an elite striker like Igor.

Igor at +140 is a nice price... however I think there's more variance with two guys looking to throw until someone is KOed so I'll play it small.

Well, Kingsbury was lighting Maldonado up in the first round. Just throwing straight punches and landing on his chin while Maldonado kept his lands at his chest.

Igor has deceptively fast/heavy/accurate hands which catch people at odd angles, often while trading. Looking to brawl with your hands down won't fly versus Igor or he'll clip & swarm on Maldonado.

What can I say, I expected to rewatch the tape thinking Maldonado would starch Igor but after going through all of the recent footage I now see this as a nice stylistic matchup for a guy who's +140. We'll see soon enough...
