#1232Smart Jake. Can't go wrong with that strategy.
I am confident we are only half way on this bull run, So i will put off profit taking for a bit.
I have been reading a lot of info and have to make a plan and stick to it. Otherwise I might be riding this rollercoaster indefinitely.
I do plan on holding some BTC and ETH for a long time.
Personally, I'm just a little more extreme. Dont worry about drops since I think btc will be will still be around in 5 - 10 years and be even more mainstream, and fiats currencies will continue losing value.
I'll take profits on other coins...and put them into bitcoin.Comment -

#1236Forgive me if this question has been posed elsewhere... according to https://ycharts.com/indicators/bitco...ctions_per_day there are "only" about 300,000 Bitcoin transactions per day.
I'd have thought that number would be in the 1 million+ range with the crazy price movement of late. Then again, I suppose when someone buys or sells Bitcoin on a normie-friendly site like Coinbase, it isn't recorded as a transaction on the blockchain.
So here's my question. What % of the daily BTC transactions are deposits and withdrawals on gambling sites? Way back in 2014, when BTC was more fringe, it was estimated at 50-60% (https://www.pbs.org/newshour/economy...0transactions.)
But nowadays, transaction fees are prohibitively high - who's going to pay $2 to $10 in fees to deposit a small amount on one of those dice sites? I wonder what the % is in 2021Comment -

#1243Always an interesting look at the greyscale fund in terms of what big money is doing on a daily basis.....greyscale added 100K ETH the past week. Also, more than 3M locked/staked on the beacon chain.....I think ETH about to explode.

#1245Bitcoin Cash has been quietly sneaking up... currently at $521. It has an ATH (all time high) of around $4K+ set back in Dec '17 but that was before the split with Bitcoin SV so it may or may not get there as this bull run progresses..... I think it should 3x or 4x easily from here on out, though....
That's the thing, I guess. In a bull market, everything seems to go up.....
Zoomed out, one of the strategies I'm toying with is when the peak is reached and the bear market starts to rear its ugly head, to do a partial sell into a stablecoin and stake it into one of the apps that pay out 10%-12.5% interest for stablecoins. Ride that (probably for a year or two) till the prices are at rock bottom and then re-buy for the next cycle....
I've heard of one institution that is predicting a bull market well into 2022. Not sure about that but it is certainly different scenario than most that I've heard...Comment -

Bitcoin is much more widely accepted now and growing daily. As an aside, when / if Paypal allows Bitcoin as payment method for goods and services on their platform transactions will explode.

#1250Good question - I am going to guess less than 1% off the top of my head. My transactions are mostly peer to peer.

BetOnline Bovada and MyBookie alone = over 3k transactions a day imoComment -

#1256I wish APPLE would use some of their $191.83 billion cash on hand to buy some BT-C.
But what I'd actually say is that I wish they already had bought some! It is the same as I advise people about
buying some high flying stock with an absurd valuation. Sure go ahead and get in and buy it now,
it will probably go up some more, but at some point this stuff begins to look like another Gamestop.
I mean does BTC even make it above $40 grand again if some Tesla dude doesn't make a damn tweet about it? LOLLast edited by JoeCool20; 02-10-21, 04:47 PM.Comment -

#1257BUT MY GOSH LET ME MAKE SURE THAT I SAY I'M NOT AGAINST ANYBODY WHO IS HOLDING BT-C TO SEE HOW MUCH MONEY THEY CAN MAKE!! Please be my guest and hold it for 10 more years if you want to!
If you read any of my previous posts on here then you know I'm just the type that wants to see people take gains and use them for their own fun and leisure! Once something has made you MORE money than you EVER imagined it would,
then when is enough enough?!! I just want to see people to reap those huge rewards!
And the reason is because I DON'T do that! I don't sell either! Or I haven't yet in my life! I just sit there and watch it! I've had Home Depot stock for over 20 years! I remember when it was $25 per share! Since then it has Been through SEVERAL stock splits, and now it is at $278 per share! But what difference does it make to me if I don't sell it and go spend the damn money? LOLLast edited by JoeCool20; 02-10-21, 04:57 PM.Comment -
