That's a loss under the original premise of this thread, which is to give the 1.5 runs. That's great for those of you who have the option of playing -1 instead of -1.5. But on my spreadsheet that's one-run loss No. 12, and I've hated all of 'em.

on average we have more 1 run wins this season than previous seasons.........on average last 5 years we've had around 16% 1 run wins......this year so far we're at 21%

My book has Texas and Tampa opening at the same number, but I'm going with Texas because the Rangers are favored in each of the first two criteria I use to break ties. The good news is that we haven't lost a D game yet this season.

It seems that 1 run games happen more often than not. What would be the +/- units if we played half a unit on the ML only? Just curious.

We have 13 games so far this season where the selection has won the game but not covered the 1.5 . . . and 26 series wins, so you can do the math to see what kind of impact this has.

if you played the games moneyline you would have been up 38 units but the problem is that you would have risked a lot more to get these 38 units.

meaning that you probably would have been forced to lower the unit size....it's all about risk vs reward and finding the balance you are comfortable with.
