Well...

It has been a rough 3 days of baseball! I dont have much else to say. The Houston series loss cost the system 12.4 Units.

I know for those who have been with me for the entire season, we have built a cushion, but I apologize for those of you who have recently starting tailing and are having to deal with this loss.

We have lots of baseball ahead of us, so stick with me and lets build up the bankroll!

Yeh I can't continue with the Dodgers after this nightmare of a night. Was at $150 units and didn't put in on the Rays and jumped on the Dodgers at the last minute on the -1RL to win $300. Lost over $700 on them, $950 on Houston and another $437 on the missed 6 team parlay. After a great Sunday, was at a record high for my BR at just over $6k. Now after 3 straight losing days almost half my BR is gone

May just have to go the conservative rout now. It's a long season...

April 29, 2010: A lesson in bankroll management.

Houston cost me 12 units. I had played a couple of different FAVs the last couple days to to lines on my books. Lost three straight there, or 15 units.

Half my bankroll is gone. If I want to make the FAV a 4 game chase, like its supposed to be, I will be wagering my entire bankroll tomorrow. Something tells me it's time to cut my losses and be happy with the fact that I'm still up double digit units on the year. Better live to survive another day, particularly with an overall profit, then to try to more or less double up in one day!

Exactly. You can't build your bankroll back up if you don't have any cash.

B Bet: Dodgers (ML) 17 Units to Win 6.8 Units (2 Units Profit)

A Bet: Yankees (ML) 4.5 Units to Win 2 Units

A Bet: Braves (ML) 3.4 Units to Win 2 Units

A Bet: Florida (ML) 4.4 Units to Win 2 Units

Situational System:

A Bet: Boston (ML) 3.1 Units to Win 2 Units

A Bet: Tampa Bay (ML) 4.2 Units to Win 2 Units

FAV System:

B Bet: Dodgers (-1 RL) X Units to Win 5.57 Units

Hey ! No need to apologize to anyone Rev.....

You didnt suit up and take the field for the Astros or Dodgers....

You dont win every game....you dont win every series....

Found that out in 1984 when a thought stuck me that the Oakland Raiders
couldnt possibly lose 5 games in a row....that was the first time I thought
about doubling up..... result wasnt pretty.....

Yeh...1984.....I am that young.....

Guys...

I know many guys who are following this thread may be on a tight bankroll, especially after my horrible 3 day run. If that is the case, I would encourage you to drop the FAV System and focus on the Series System and the Situational System. Those 2 systems are going to be the money makers. The FAV System is meant to provide some cushion as we go through the season. Just a thought...

thanks for the encouragement JW. i must admit, by doing this thread, i have felt even more weight during this 3 day stretch because i know that it is not just me losing money. this is a first for me by posting my systems, so i will stick with it because i believe in what i do and know that over the long run, it will produce a nice profit for those who follow. lets get back on the winning side of things tomorrow and begin a nice run upward!

I've been following your thread since the start and betting since you got to about +20 units. I haven't posted yet as I didn't think I had anything to contribute other than "You're awesome" and "thanks" and I didn't want to clog up the thread.

So the last three days we're down a wee bit, but not to worry. I know what you mean about feeling sorry for the guys that just started tailing you, but this is gambling and there will be losses and if anyone believes they won't make it back by continuing to tail you then now is the time to speak up. I'm sure we'll be deafened by the silence.

I'm from Scotland and don't know anything about American sports (I find them a bit weird) so I'm following you blind. The only capping advice I can give to anyone is its usually a good idea to fade Scotland - as a sporting nation we tend to set our standards low and then fail to achieve those pathetic standards.

Hey everybody! Last 3 days have been horrible for me on MLB (not because of this system here :S )...
Anyways I have to decrease Unit size about the half and now I was wondering what to do with the pending Dodgers series? I thought I leave the old unit size for this series, because if the B bet wins I'm good, no problem and I could start the other series with reduced size... But a loss on the Dodgers would mess up the whole management because I wouldn't be able to cover it with the other bets... What are your thoughts about this? or should I leave it at the size and deposit a bit more?

I wanna say that I love this thread! Normally after a loss there is a bunch of people doubting and dogging but there is a bunch of encouraging people in here! Everyone give yourself a pat on the back haha. I think now is the perfect time for new people to get in. If it took that long for the first loss, how long will it take for another one? my guess is there is plenty of money to be made before the next loss happens.

you mean the Pirates got 2 runs. The Dodger bats couldn't hit anything last night and got shutout. they have looked pathetic over the last 5 games. someone needs to kick Torre in the ass so he kicks his players in the ass. it was brutal to watch.
