Astros: Oswalt is returning to action for the first time since straining his left lower back July 28 in Chicago. He lasted only 1 2/3 innings in that game before being removed. He hasn't faced the Marlins this year but is 5-4 with a 3.24 ERA in 11 career starts against Florida. That includes a 2-3 record and 3.46 ERA in six starts at Dolphin Stadium.
Marlins: The 22-year-old continues to strive for consistency. In his last start, Volstad let a big lead slip away in what turned into a disheartening loss at Washington. The Marlins had leads of 6-0 and 8-3, but Volstad struggled, giving up seven runs (four earned) in 4 1/3 innings. Allowing home runs has been an issue all season for Volstad, and it was again at Washington. In 23 starts, Volstad has surrendered 23 home runs. At home, the 6-foot-8 right-hander is 3-6 with a 4.97 ERA.
that kinda says it all dude, i dont know about that under if it was 9.5 then i'd take a chance on it but at 8.5......... i dont know espcially with the early line movement everyone is proabably thingking what i said at first about how oswalts back will be loose and should be able to last while volstad should bounce back like he did in sf after a bad start and toss a pretty decent game, started -115 and hit a high -122 now only -120 but still....
as of now this game kinda has a stay away feel to it, though i wana take the fish ML but if somehow it chnages and we can get fish +1.5 for like <-160, which it wont happen i'd do that
might just go unit on the fish ml, just to feel ALIVE lol (is that bad to say just to put somehting on it, am i transforming into a degen??? lol)

2 straight big W's for the fish in this big 4 game series taking place in south beach and tonight my boy ricky nolasco takes the mound vs the surprising rookie bud norris.
norris is making his debut vs the fish tonight but for the seaoson he's 2-0 wiht a 1.39 ERA. vs the cards in his mlb debut as a starter he went 7 strong, 3 hits 0 ER and vs the brew crew went 6 innings, 3 hits, 1 ER. only knock on him thus far is his struggles to find the plate at times, gave up 4 walsk in stl and 5 in mil but did k 5 and 7 respectivily.
my homeboy nolasco is 3-0 in his last 3 starts and has pitched very well. In his last two starts, he's given up only three runs in 14 innings with 15 strikeouts. he's also 2-0 vs the astros in his career, both comin last year, he went 7 innings, gave up 6 hits, and 2 Er and only 1 BB, 4K's in a 14-2 slaughter as well as 5innigs, 7 hits, 5 ER, 2 walks, 2k's in a 10-6 W
with all this said, not a fan of HEAVY JUICE but after the DRAMATIC W last nite, comin back from a 6-1 goign into like the 5th and battling back that is HUGE plus the astros have to be like WHAT THE ****? even big danny uggla is looking likes he's coming around, been tearing it up in last 5 games.

and for the o/u i would have to lean towards the under simply cause nolasco has been NASTY of late and buddy boy has shown he can control opposing bats, but with his problems with excessive walks, a few walks and a timely hit later could spell problems
the public seems to liek the astros thought tonight 53%-47% advantage.
and sorry didint see this earlier got back from the course like 2ish and jus laided around cause went to bed at 4 and woke up at 7...
