Dallas heads home to American Airlines Center for Game 3 against Oklahoma City, as we offer our top Thunder vs. Mavericks player props based on the best NBA odds.

After a dispiriting Game 1 effort from the fifth-seeded Dallas Mavericks (50-32), Luka Doncic (29 points) led the way in a critical Game 2 win over the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder (57-25). Those two meet again at American Airlines Center in Dallas for Game 3, which tips off today at 3:30 p.m. ET and will broadcast live on ABC.

The Mavericks are 3-point favorites to beat the Thunder across our best sports betting sites, which have Dallas favored to win this series even as OKC boasts the shorter NBA championship odds. A win in Game 3 could tilt this series in either side's favor in this star-studded Western Conference matchup.

Here are our best Thunder vs. Mavericks player props and NBA picks (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Thunder vs. Mavericks prop bet predictions for Saturday

P.J. Washington Over 3.5 1st-quarter points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Washington was the surprise star of Game 2, leading the Mavericks with playoff career highs of 29 points and 11 rebounds. He did most of his damage in an 11-point first quarter - and it wasn't by accident, either.

After the game, Jason Kidd said his team "wanted to look at something different" after relying on Doncic and Kyrie Irving to this point, as the team forced the ball to Washington early on. He also hinted that his team may "build on that as we go forward" in terms of relying on role players like Washington.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? The Mavericks clearly have an advantage down low against the Thunder's slight frontcourt, and I'd expect Kidd to attack that mismatch once again after it helped secure that Game 2 win.

Washington is +1000 via bet365 to score the first basket, which he nearly did in Game 2. I prefer these +114 odds on him scoring four points in the first quarter, which would profit $11.40 on a $10 bet with a 46.73% implied probability, per our odds converter.

Best odds: +114 via DraftKings

Kyrie Irving Over 1.5 steals ⭐⭐⭐

At a certain point, it's hard to ignore what Irving is doing on the defensive end - especially if our best sportsbooks are going to offer plus-money odds on the Over.

After ranking in the top 20 in steals per game (1.3) in the regular season, Irving has recorded multiple steals in seven of eight postseason games, including each of the first two games of this series. It helps that he's playing nearly 40 minutes per game after clocking in at 35 in the regular season.

While defensive stats are notoriously volatile, these +110 odds imply a 47.62% hit rate and return an $11 profit on a $10 wager if this prop cashes for a fifth consecutive game. At better than coin-flip odds, it's hard not to like that price.

Josh Giddey Under 10.5 points + rebounds + assists ⭐⭐⭐

We faded Giddey after a two-point performance in Game 1. He narrowly cleared his low scoring total with eight points in Game 2, but the Thunder were still outscored by 20 points in his 11 minutes of action - his fewest minutes in a game this season.

At this point, Giddey's struggles have become a dominant storyline in this series, and coach Mark Daigneault admitted that the lineups with Giddey "didn't work" in Game 2. That's why the third-year guard played just three minutes in the second half in a tightly contested game at home, and his coach has strongly suggested his role will be limited in this series:

At the time of this writing, FanDuel is the only one of our best sports betting apps offering player props on Giddey, and these -130 odds imply a 56.52% probability with just $7.69 profit on a $10 wager. That's a steep price, but it's hard to imagine we see much more from Giddey with the way the Mavericks are playing him in this series.

Best odds: -130 via FanDuel
