GT Bets closed my account today!

After signing up 3 weeks ago, I received an e-mail & pop up message today on their website saying:

We do not allow signups from the United States of America or Canada. We have disabled your account based on your geographical location.

    1) The obvious question is why my registration was accepted in the 1st place, are they really unaware of their own rules?

    2) I should be grandfathered in, as I was a VIP customer & they are obviously VIP opening through a different name.

    3) In my opinion, they don't want my action since I took VIP for 100 G's.

    Hey GT Bets

It was to my understanding that GTBets (SBR Rated C) was accepting U.S. players however, I guess not. Maybe if they would have replied to my original Email I sent last week regarding some minor question I would have known this information.

Might I ask what state you reside in? The reason I ask this question is because some players have mentioned that their are some states that are on there restricted list.

Yeah, & when I did they cut me off from reload bonuses & loyalty points. So I left VIP years ago when this happened & played with Bookmaker, DSI, & now BetMaker ever since. I was going to deposit with GT Bets for their $500 cash bonus.

GT Bets does allow US players, however does not allow signups from New York or Maryland.

The manager confirmed this 5 minutes ago. If the original poster would like more info, please feel free to write to help@sportsbookreview.com.

I remember some VIP players were booted after only 1 wager. So they always were well known to be fast with the trigger from the booting aspect of things.

I'm from Jersey, so I shouldn't have been kicked out of GT Bets. I was down 60 G's with VIP before winning the 100 G's, never kicked out or limited in anyway. Just bonuses & rewards taken away, so I stopped playing there.

Just called GT Bets, since their pop up message about geographic location as the reason to close my account was a blatant lie. They said my VIP account was noted as me being confrontational when they had taken away my bonuses & rewards years ago. However my account was never closed & despite taking my business to DSI, I still made small deposits occasionaly to VIP trying to hit their 15 team progressive parlay. The real reason for my account closure is GT Bets has my old VIP account info & recognizes me as a winning player, up 40 G's with VIP. They told me it was a management decision & they can't accept my business. That's ok, I'll just open a GT Bets account under my wifes name.

I guess I'll just save myself some time and say "please feel free to fill out a complaint form and one of us will inquire to them on your behalf" sir.

Thanks Dan, I submitted the complaint form along with the GT Bets e-mail soliciting my deposit & then terminating my account. If you can't get GT Bets to accept my account, I'll simply register under my wifes name.

Not worried about it, just signing up to clear the $500 cash bonus. Will not use GT after that, as I'm not interested in their cheesey 10% reloads when DSI gives me 40%.

    Closed gt bets accounts

I was a player at VIP for 7 years and was totally shocked when they closed last august.I was on a 1st name basis with most of the staff and also the manager of the sports/racebook.If there was a problem he was always fair and handled the issue very fast.My play is mostly 1 Horse racing 1a College Football and College basketball. Now GT BETS called me when they opened up with the same software and screen shot as VIP had.I talked to the new VP and they had all my info with everything being transferred over with ease.I was very glad to find out that some of the old staff from VIP was working for GT.Now I live in Oklahoma and have had no real problems with GT BETS in the year I have played with them. Not even when I take profits down. The only difference is I don't have a friend at the top anymore.I don't play as large as the players that have been kicked off and have never hit them for a 100 k.So if you are that big of a player, plus a big winner then they are no different than regular Bookies in the US.I know of several people over the years that have knocked the crap out of them and would be told no more action for you because of your winning too much.So I would be pissed off just like you if GT BETS closed my account like they did yours ! I am just being honest with how I have been treated by GT BETS.

Well, cry me a river bobbyware! Like the last person to post to this forum, I also received a personal phone call from GTbets inviting me to join there new operation. After it was explained that most of the original crew from VIP came with them I jumped at the chance I have spent many happy dollars with VIP and and now GTbets. I have played several others sites and none can compare with GTbets. As we all know there are two sides to every story. In fact I have a hard time believing yours. In my opinion VIP and GTbets was and is far and away the best Sportsbook on the web. They give the best bonus offers of any Sportbook out there. Bar none. If you are betting and winning/losing that kind of money you need go somewhere else anyway. Thanks GTbets for not letting this JERK win any of the money I might lose.

Keep up the good work GT,

Yes....was down 60K, then won 100k, up 40k. I have no reason to lie, just posting my experience. I certainly don't need to prove anything to a chump like Golfwormer.

GT is a rec book that doesn't want winners, clearly evident in not accepting my business. They are also thieves who stole 4k when I signed up under a friends name, which was done only because they wouldn't accept my account & GT felt the need to lie about the reason.

I've moved on & taken my business elsewhere, as Bookmaker, DSI, & BetIslands, are not scared of winners like GT.

If you are winning and winning BIG and consistently, any book would be afraid.

I remember going on a big streak at blackjack on a land casino in vegas, and all the managers and head dealers were watching every move I made, and shuffling the deck every 5 minutes. It's fuckin rediculous, your not supposed to win so you MUST be cheating.

As if books dont make enough just by having opposite sides.

Anyway, $40 k is not enough to scare the big boys regardless. I know a really intelligent better who wins more than that on a consistent basis.

All i know is GTbets is a great book for me. They have so many extra stuff for u its great, i cant even begin to tell u how much perks u get with them cause its alot. They even gave me a birthday gift. They do offer great bonuses and reloads until u r up then u dont get reloads, so i cant get reloads with them. All in all they paid me everytime no problems, i even tryed the paper and it was a pretty good timeframe.
If u guys like to get some good stuff i suggest u give it a shot cause its worth it.

Normally i would say the same thing about first posters here, but knowing what they have doesn't seem like they care much to do something like this as im sure they have a huge player base. I have read on all forums even more than at SBR of great things with them, thats pretty much the whole reason i tried them out.

i cashed out and haven't played with them since mid may, but i was able to bet $500-2000 on mlb. and i remember specically making a 3k bet on a nfl game because that's the game phillipe rivers fumbled the snap and cost me the win. i had chargers as my favorite team so i was getting a free .5 point off the -3 for the game.

I agree, GT has the same great perks that VIP offered. That's partly why I signed up under a friends name when they denied my business. My problem is they accepted my second registration & bets for 3 weeks, then closed account & stole winnings. If my bets lost for those 3 weeks, would I have been refunded upon account closure? Obviously not, so GT clearly took a free shot at me.
