Where Will Mariota End Up ???

Hawaii loving it that Mariota won....

Now where will he go in the pros ?

A lot of peeps say Philly...

    They have some Oregon alum....

    What do you 'tink ?

Will he end up a bust like somebody else we know...

Not that Johnny foosball is a total bust yet but I kinda thought he might get a rude awakening in the pros...

    Peace out... Z-dog ...

The only place he will make a difference is Philly. His system/style is not made for any other team in NFL

He won't drop past Tennessee, will probably go to Tampa Bay at #1.

Tampa....and he will be good there.

The thing about Mariota is that his assets work in many different systems....the guy is smooth, good mechanics, no ego, teammates like him and not because he is a tough guy or anything....just because he is a good shit. He has speed but just uses it when he needs it to make something happen.....I haven't liked a QB coming out this much in a very long time.

Some people say that subject was behind all the friction between head coach Chip Kelly and GM Howie Roseman in Philly. Sources say Chip wants to give away 3 #1 picks, this year's 2nd rd pick plus Nick Foles (or something to that effect) to get Tampa's top pick so he can get Mariota. Roseman is firmly against giving up so much for one guy, let alone paying him the top $$$. If that's what it takes to get that offense to click like Oregon's right now, then give them the picks. If your franchise has a shot to get a top QB that will lead it the Super Bowl, you have to take that chance. Every team left in the playoffs has a top QB, its a must for a championship team.

if they could get the team who holds the #1 pick to agree to that, they should do it in a heart beat.

Boo....I love you, but you could not be further off on this one. To compare RGIII and Manz to Mariota is like comparing Bologna and Spam to a rare chunk of AAA Tenderloin, seared at 1000 degrees and seasoned perfectly.

    You will see my friend.

Not sold on Mariotta. He has the intangibles, but not sure his game will transition to the next level. I would take Winston over Mariotta, without all the off field Garbage. You have to wonder after Winston gets the millions if the problems for Winston will increase. Should be an interesting draft process.

Tampa has the #1 pick and a terrible HC in Lovie Smith. Chip Kelly needs defensive help. His choking teams (a trademark of Kelly as you will see) gave up 89 points in their last three losses of the season, two at home. He needs defense. The team that has the best shot at trading with Tampa Bay is Washington, who can dump RGIII along with some draft picks to get Mariota. The Buc's front office is just terrible as the hiring of Lovie proves.
