    Dbacks vs Padres

No one is talking about Cashner?? 96-99 with location, plus change, and plus curve.
I think Bauer is impressive but he isn't as good as Cashner. Two very young pitchers here and they are giving you +145 on the better pitcher...nice value imo.

Why is everyone so afraid of this game?? Line back to +136 now... maybe someone followed me but didn't want to do it admit it. Cashner has the potential to be as good as Strasburg or better. Yet he gets no love because he is on the West Coast in SD. Wake up people

Good value on the Padres, especially for midseason baseball. This is a team with a completely different offense from:

    1) The beginning of the season; and
    2) Their public perception; and
    3) Away from Petco

If you check out their offense the past month it is league average, and that includes playing in Petco. Now, this isn't a trend, but an analysis because this basically coincides with when they dropped Hudson and Bartlett. Now Grandal is in replacing Hundley, boosting their offense even more.

The Padres' offense right now, with Amarista, Grandal, and Forsythe is better than what the DBacks are putting out there. Yet how many people realize this? I think the value comes from the Padres' offense and Bauer fanfare.

Public perception is the key here. Still a great line.

Finally down to about where SD would be favored on a neutral field... I think SD -1.5 is good too. It's +196 on pinny and you can find +215 without looking very hard.

Better to go with a streak than against it. As soon as you learn that you will be that much closer to becoming a successful gambler.

based on what? One game as a starter? Yes he has great stuff to go with command problems and little success this far with big league hitters..

Bauer had one start as well. He has electric tim lincecum type stuff but when you miss out over the plate at 93-94 it goes into the stands. When you miss out over the plate at 98 it usually isn't hit very hard. (see home run from padres tonight)
Cashner has top 5 pitcher in the mlb type stuff. Yes it was only one game but he looked extremely relaxed and in control. It's just my opinion but Cashners start didn't look like a fluke, the types of pitches he made in the locations he placed them tells me he should be able to repeat that on a semi regular basis.
