And Gillard gives like 2 million because thats all the government afford. Bullshit, stop giving countries like Indonesia huge freakin cheques and assist your own country in need. They shouldn't have to ask people to donate, though it is a kind gesture, the government is pathetic.

#8020Acer, I saw your Gillard post but I can't quote it since it's gone.
But yeah, I agree. Pretty fukked up state of affairs when we're relying on normal joes and celebrities to donate because the federal government can't figure out their spending. Seriously pissed off. Even more so now that the news ticker just said that there are now 10 confirmed dead - 4 or 5 of them are children and one was 4 years old. So angry and sad right now. She's just lucky I can't vote here or I'd be screaming at Parliament House for her to take a flying leap.
Guys, hopefully Lu can pull through. The break will do him good. If not, I apologise and you can blame beefy since he first mentioned him.No, just joking. I'd still rather have my money on Lu right now than that pisspot Simon. As for Peng, it's women. Clijsters was even broken today. No need to fret just yet.

#8025The weather is going to be shit here the whole week. One of my tennis buddies was saying that if it keeps it up, there's no way they can play the Aus Open in this. So frustrating to have so much money tied up on these suckers but I need Lu to have a bit of a revival too so here's hoping the rest does him and Tomic some good.Comment -

#8026Hello Shari,
What do you think of Haase vs Isner? I think that Over 23.5 is a good bet because they are both strong on their own service. They meet once in history two months ago and that match went to Haase in 3 sets. I think there will be 3 sets this time again or otherwise a tiebreak or 7-5 set to come close to the Over.

#8027And that's why I said I use that site as one of a few resources for my tipping. The good thing is you only need to buy a 2 week membership. If it's not for you, just ditch it and kiss the $6 goodbye. I don't work there, I don't advertise for them. You guys asked me what I use and I told you a few of the sites I rely on. Obviously I won't tell you everything but TI is a good place to start.
EP, I can see you posted in here but I can't see your post. Best of luck for both of us tomorrow!!
Guys, I won't be posting plays or anything for the next day or two. I've been trying for ages to post my stuff for tomorrow in here and the site's been screwing up so much that I'm over it. I'm tired, it's late and I have friends being washed out of their homes because of these stupid floods and their loved ones are still missing. Not going to battle with this forum anymore as it's just not important in the scheme of things. I give my advice and plays because I love the discussion in my thread. I'm not some pro at this stuff and I don't charge money nor would I ever obviously but the amount of effort I've put in today just trying to talk to you guys is ridiculous. This has been the equivalent of a 8hr full time job thanks to forum stuff ups and there are too many other ways for people to stay in contact for this to be worth it. I'm just not going to deal with it anymore today.
Best of luck on your plays everyone and I'll see you in the next day or two if they finally get this stuff sorted out!
Funny thing is I don't even know if you'll even end up seeing this post!Comment -

#8028Best of luck Shari. Like many here, i´ve been following your posts and tips with interest but can imagine that answering every T, D and Harry on almost everything under the sun can get rather time-consuming.
Just seen some of the flood footage on reuters and it´s pretty unbelievable that this can get so bad even in the city. Also saw a bit of Gillard´s press conference... what a wet fish that one is...Comment -

And just so I'm clear, it's not answering questions in here that gets me down although sometimes it's a bit overwhelming but that's cool. It's when I answer one and my bloody reply disappears into thin air or I can't even see the post of whom I trying to reply to anymore.
These floods are unreal. Honestly, I could never imagine something like this happening in just a regular city that was hosting a tennis tournament we were betting on last week. F'ing awful and considering that shithouse Prime Minister only agreed to donate $2 million like Acer said when this country gave almost a billion to Indonesia for the tsunami and $70 million to Pakistan for the floods is disgusting. Her and I get our hair done at the same place and I swear to you if I see her there again I'll spit in her eye. Especially since this country is still recovering from the Black Saturday bushfires 2 years ago where 172 people died about 3 hours away from where I am now. Some of the survivors who lost children and other family members still don't have homes. Time to help people out here too.Comment -

#8047I figured since I posted this in another thread, I should probably post it here. These are some of my plays for today. The big chalk plays I have flat bet again and as with everything else this week, my plays are small. Hobart and Melbourne are again calling for a decent amount of rain today and Sydney is expecting showers so keep that in mind when you bet. Best of luck everyone!
Giraldo +110, Nalbandian -200, Dolgopolov +125, Errani -200.
Giraldo: I think the only reason he's a dog here is because Bellucci has a higher ranking. But rankings are composed of a player's performance on every surface and Giraldo is the stronger hard court player. Plus the quality of opponents he has beaten so far this week is better than Bellucci's and Belluci had to go to 3 sets to even get his wins. I think it's a decent bet but obviously not the safest.
Nalbandian: One of the best returners on the Tour and he's playing Isner who basically can only serve and that's it. No net game and very rarely breaks opponents on serve because of his play - usually his opponents stuff up and he wins the point that way. Unless Nalby loses the plot and sits down on the court for the whole match, he should be able to get this done somewhat easily.
Dolgopolov: Big server with massive groundstrokes going up against Simon who likes to stand at the baseline and isn't too aggressive at all. If Dolgo keeps serving the way he has been the past two weeks he should be able to win this one.
Errani: She's playing Molik. Dreadful player and a massive gulf in class between the two. Molik played like dogmeat all last week and I really don't see how she wins this at all. I'm not even sure how she's still considered a professional tennis player to be honest. That's all I really can say about this one.Comment -

#8049I like Nalbandian play as well. Very impressed with his win against Petsch last night. I think i'll play small as even though Isner isn't in form, if his serve gets him into a TB situation, then he's odds on favourite. He's also defending champ- his only ever title, so will be motivated by pride and defending points. Still like Nalb to take it though.
I saw Molik play some second tier Aussie tournament end of last year. I think she was wild-carded entry and was all over the place against a young Hungarian from memory. Was giving breaks left, right and centre and couldn't hold a rally for more than six shots. Somehow she won her first round in Tassie, but i'm backing against her to do the same against a more solid player like Errani.Comment -
