#1613Dodged a bullet by going with the gut on this. Lost the outright on Malisse for the tourney, so it's down to Becker. If Becker holds on to win today, should be a nice hedge price on Stakhovsky in the final for that as I expect he'll be a pretty significant underdog.Comment -

#1614Azarenka looks good in the first, 6-3. Her serve has been real solid. Need the rain to stop in Holland so they can get back to the Becker match. Becker up a set after winning 7-6, down 0-1 in the 2nd, but it's on-serve.Comment -

#1616LLODRA-DOLGOPOLOV ENDS IN 3 SETS [+161]
Two huge serves working against each other in this one. Expect some tight sets and this is just my opinion on this one is that since both have been serving so well with a lot of aces that each should snag a set and we could see this end in a 3rd set.Comment -

#1627SATURDAY
TIPSAREVIC [-145]
I was very impressed with Tipsarevic's win over Becker yesterday. Stakhovsky meanwhile has taken a pretty easy road to the final, beating some very average players on this surface. Beating Malisse was his best win here, but Malisse had played a ton of tennis the past two weeks and might have been ready to rest up for Wimbledon. Tipsarevic's serve has been solid this week as he's pumped out 40 aces this week, with 27 coming in his last two matches. Tipsy has the better experience on this surface and success. So long as his serve continues to dominate, I think he gets the title.Comment -

#1644WIMBLEDON PREVIEW
The 1st round picks are ones that I like on the moneyline while trying to use chalk generally less than -500 to make any parlay worthwile. Anything over -200, I would suggest using in a parlay.
FEDERER QUARTER
Pick: Federer
*Federer has a simple draw here. Davydenko is the seed on the bottom here and even if he were 100%, his game is not good on grass. Berdych could be the toughest match for Federer in this draw, but the Berd Man will need to navigate some tough matches to even get Federer in a potential QF.
1st Round Picks: Luczak over Robredo. Becker over Sweeting. Schuettler over Tursunov. Wawrinka over Istomin
DJOKOVIC QUARTER
Pick: Hewitt
*Djokovic is still out of sorts with serve problems and in general, his game just has not been on par with what we expect of a Top 5 player. He's got a boring enough draw to likely make the 4th round, but that is where he may find a resurgent Lleyton Hewitt. Hewitt played well in his build-up to Wimbledon and his toughest opponent will likely be Monfils or Mayer in the 3rd round. He's better than either on grass. Roddick is on the bottom here, but hew's got a tough draw. Cilic and Kohlschreiber both loom as dangerous types along with Michael Llodra. Roddick may well work through here, but he's going to have to work hard to do it.
1st Round Picks: Mayer over Monfils. Llodra over Witten.
MURRAY QUARTER
Pick: Murray
*No one is going to be real high on Murray because of his rough year after the Australian Open, but if there's a point where he's going to regain his confidence, this is it. The bottom of the draw here Murray is, sets up well with decent players like Simon, Ferrero and Querrey included. However, Simon is still working his way back and does not appear to be ready to beat top flight competition in a best of 5. Ferrero is also a question mark with fitness while Querrey could be the most dangerous. Up top, Verdasco and Tsonga look to be the best, but neither has had huge success in England. Verdasco's draw should lead him to have a shot at the 4th round. Tsonga could have some intriguing match-ups with Dolgopolov in the 2nd round and maybe Garcia-Lopez in the 3rd. If it all holds, Verdasco and Tsonga could meet in the 4th round. Won't be surprised by that or by neither making it there.
1st Round Picks: Garcia-Lopez over Kamke. Dolgopolov over Chuidinelli. Ferrero over Malisse.
NADAL QUARTER
Pick: Nadal
*Rafa is going to be a man possessed here I believe after missing out on a title defense last year. He should cruise through the 1st three rounds, but a 4th round meeting with Youzhny or Isner could be a test. Up top, Soderling looms. He's never been great at Wimbledon, but his draw is pretty straight forward. Ferrer, Baghdatis & Bellucci are seeded with Soderling, but Ferrer and Bellucci aren't adept at grass courts at this stage and Baghdatis has been in awful form the past two weeks. If Soderling and Nadal don't meet in the QFs, it would mean one of them had a real horrible match along the way.
1st Round Picks: Kiefer over Ferrer. Lacko over Baghdatis.
Semis: Federer over Hewitt. Murray over Nadal.
Final: Murray over Federer.
Yes, crazy call I am sure, but I have been preaching all year long that Andy Murray might have a Juan Martin Del Potro like resurrection at some point this season. Remember, DelPo got pummeled by Federer at the Aussie Open in 2009 and then struggled mightily to regain his form until he rolled up at the U.S. Open and low and behold got his revenge on Federer. Murray has certainly been in a huge funk since Federer crushed his spirit in Australia, but this is a solid draw for him to get on track. Federer is the chalk here and certainly is worth a go in the futures ranks as I like both Federer and Murray.
Futures: Federer +131, Murray +925Comment -

#1645SERENA QUARTER
Pick: Serena
*Hard to pick against here based on her last two trips here. 4th rounder maybe against Sharapova could be fun. Petkovic in the 2nd round could be that one where Serena looks beaten, but somehow pulls it out. Radwanksa on the bottom & Kuznetsova just don't appear consistent enough right now to challenge in the end. Na Li might sneak through in that portion of the draw.
WOZNIACKI QUARTER
Pick: Azarenka
*Wozniacki is going to have a tough time here with Azarenka looming in the 4th round. Zheng might provide a dark horse to watch. Stosur is the seed down low, but she's not that great on grass though she could manage to work through a pretty weak portion of the draw until a potential 4th rounder with Pennetta who also isn't exactly solid on this surface. This portion of the draw seems wide open to me. Azarenka got hot last week before flopping in the final in Eastbourne. Still, her confidence has to be up and she did well at Wimbledon last year. I think this one could come down to who wins a potential Wozniacki-Azarenka 4th round match.
JANKOVIC QUARTER
Pick: Henin
*Jankovic rarely fares well here, so I am pretty apt to discount here chances here. Zvonareva and Wickmayer are in the same portion of the draw here. Wickmayer has little confidence right now, neither does Zvonareva. Don't think it matters who survives the bottom portion here as the top is loaded with Clijsters, Henin,. Petrova & Kirilenko. Henin looked solid last week in Holland and has done well here in the past.
VENUS QUARTER
Pick: Venus
*Venus can't complain about her draw as it is pretty simple to get her a shot at the quarters. Say what you want about Venus at the other majors, but she has made the final here three years straight and four of the last five tries. Schiavone & Bartoli are the best up top in a weak draw. Don't see Schiavone surviving on this surface although she did make the quarters last year. Bartoli might be the default pick to face Venus. Shouldn't matter.
Semis: Serena over Azarenka. Venus over Henin.
Final: Flip a coin. Last year was Serena's year. The year before was Venus'.
Futures: Serena +225, Venus +375
It lacks imagination to take the Williams' sisters here, but it also makes sense based on their draws - especially with Venus in my opinion. If either is going to flop, for some reason I think it would be Serena.
