Impressed with how DelPo took control. Whoever he gets, this is his time to get to that Slam Final. I think he matches up with both Nadal & Gonzo.

Agree.I have nadal outrights and even I think that Del Potro will probably beat Nadal if he can get past Gonza tonight.Should be a good match though regardless

Going to be hard enough for nadal when he plays Del Potro but if they keep on delaying this match with rain its going to **** him up even more. To bad there was no roof haha

Well we are getting into crunch time for those with futures for the US Open. Nadal should finish off gonzalez tomorrow to set up a Federer/Djokovic Del Potro/Nadal semi finals. I think Federer is going to beat Djokovic in 3 or 4 sets and I think that the Nadal/Del Potro match will be a toss up. I am leaning towards Del Potro in that match but I have my Nadal and Federer outrights still alive so I am hoping for both of them to win there semifinal matches so I can sit back and enjoy the final.

On the womens side, im hoping for Wozniacki to beat Wickmayer and get my womens outright to the finals. Serena/Clijsters match should be good but even years ago when both players were at there peaks, Serena owned Clijsters so I am leaning towards Serena winning that match tomorrow

The finals I am looking for are Nadal/Federer and Wozniacki/Serena. I think the two winners will be Federer and Serena

Not really going to put any further money on the semifinals at this point.Just going to hope my futures survive

Hopefully Nadal finishes his match early tomorrow so we can chalk up that parlay as a winner.I know I have talked to a number of you and it seems that alot of people were on the Del Potro/Nadal parlay for today which was a great play with some decent odds. Just to bad we have to wait overnight for it to cash

Best of luck tomorrow guys.Should be some good matches IF the weather stays away. I think I heard that friday is going to be kinda shitty but saturday sunday are a little better.Guess we will find out

Nadal/Gonzalez match is scheduled 2nd up after the Serena/Clijsters match or the schedule says it could be played on another court, but not before 2pm ET according to the US Open site. I am taking small positions on both women's dogs today. Clijsters as already explained for me, covers my outright Serena to win wager. Wickmayer .... it's either going to be a brilliant wager or a complete waste of money. I was looking back at her last three matches at the Open and really, it all depends on what style she plays today. In 2 of the last 3, she has over 30 winners and 30 unforced errors - meaning she was "going for it" with bigger shots. The other, she had I think 12-15 winners. Against Wozniacki, I think the only way she can win is to "go for it" with big shots. If she plays rallies and waits for errors, she'll wind up like Oudin. I'm just simply making a guess on that one and saying Wickmayer will go for it. Still might not be enough, but in an Open chock full of surprises on the ladies side, why not one more?

Fed/Djokovic - leaning slightly to over 38 games. Fed showed a few chinks in the armor against Soderling after the match was seemingly in control. Djokovic has been silently stalking his way through the draw with no fanfare. He needs a big win to re-establish himself in the majors conversation. With a lot of people already assuming Federer in the final and talking about who he might play, this is Djokovic's spot to stand up - don't think he will in the end, but I think he should keep it competitive, especially since HEAT won't be an issue!

Weather doesn't look like it is going to allow for matches today though.

Nope. Forecast looks sketchy at best. Very doubtful anything gets played today. Would probably be wise to skip the day rather than try & stop & start even the first match. Even tomorrow looks pretty poor. It may not be until Sunday that the weather is decent enough.

Ya this weather thing is ****ing everything up. Seems like all they are updating on the us open site is what time they will not start until..first it was 2 then 3 then 5 now. I think you are right Eagles, looks like no play today. Kinda sucks that when they resume it could be the two womens semis and the rafa match at the same time.Wonder what happens to the people that have tickets for all three.....

Hate not knowing when it will start because I just want to monitor my outrights and make sure none of those players falter

Nadal wins to cash another parlay this us open. Hopefully you guys tagged along on the Nadal/Del Potro parlay.Took a couple days to cash but a wins a win

Not really sure what is happening with the ladies tonight. Looks to be some rain right now so who knows when those matches will get in.I am going to stay away from betting both because A) Not sure how delays will affect some of these players mentally and B) Who knows when the ****ing match will be on so there is no point in betting these matches really, especially with college ball today and NFL tomorrow

Crazy day in tennis today. Was thinking it would be serena williams in the final taking on Wozniacki but Clijsters wins with some drama and that works out perfectly for my Wozniacki +860 outright. Clijsters is -360 to win so I took some of her to hedge out and guarantee some nice profit on both. Cant believe the Serena meltdown today. I felt really bad for the line judge that called the foot fault because she looked really scared during this whole ordeal. What is lost in this whole ordeal is the great match that Kim played. She had the 2 match points before Serenas meltdown and there is a good chance she would have won but now everyone is going to point to the fact that serena was screwed and could have won yadda yadda. Ive never seen a player get a point penalty on two code violations on match point. What are the chances of that? Should still be a good match in the final. I put most of my green towards Wozniacki so I am hoping she wins the match.

Not really sure how the weather is going to play out so I am still not going to make any plays on the mens side. I think weather is supposed to be back to normal now but who knows.Should be some good semifinal matches. Still envisioning a Nadal/Federer final which would be ideal but as long as Federer makes the finals my outrights should prove profitable. If its Djokovic/Del Potro final.....well we wont go there haha Not good

Looks like Nadal is first on the court tomorrow at 12 pm eastern. Then at 4:30 eastern Federer match followed by the womens final. HOpefully we can get all three in tomorrow.

By the way, just want to give a big **** you to the tennis coverage today. Once that serena match was done they could have gone over to the Wozniacki match and seen it at around 3-2 in the the second set but they chose to talk about serenas match for about 45 mins so we missed all of the wozniacki match. I know that Wozniacki and Wickmayer are both not american but you can still change over to some coverage of the other semi final for those tennis fans that want to see some actual tennis.

                              Best of luck tomorrow guys

Because of the football I cant find this match anywhere on tv. Sucks.

Djokovic/Federer is 4:30pm ET regardless because of football - will be on CBS. Don't know who to root for with my DelPo future pending. Best hedge would probably be for Djokovic to win I guess as Fed will probably still be a bigger favorite.

Ya for those with del potro futures Djokovic is definately who to root for.Should be a good match no matter who wins.

Del Potro is playing some great tennis. Starting to get federeresque on the break points that he faces. BP,ACE, BP,ACE. Del Potro has come a long way in the last year and a half and to think that it was thought that his career might be over due to a shoulder injury 3 or 4 years ago.Props to him

Rafa needs to heal up and come back strong for next year. No point in risking further injuries.Just needs a break

Who do you like in the womens final Eagles?

I am leaning towards clijsters thats why I hedged out my wozniacki outright. Shes got more experience with these matches. Wozniacki would probably need to lose a final like this before she wins one. Womens tennis though anything could happen. Wozniacki 6-0 6-0 win wouldnt even surprise me haha.

Nadal definitely needs to rest. I wouldn't be surprised though if he tries to make it back for the Shanghai Masters in mid-October. Any other result than a Clijsters win tonight?

I agree that Clijsters will probably win. Im thinking in two sets as well

Clijsters wins the final in two sets so I am glad I hedged out for some small profit on her.Shame that Wozniacki didnt win though because I would have made alot more had she won. Was a break fest back and forth. Woz had her chances but just couldnt seal the deal.

Tomorrows final should be a good match.Looking forward to it. Federer is 6-0 vs del potro with the last win coming at the french open in five sets. Does Del Potro have the game to win a major, of course. Does Del Potro have the game to beat Federer in a major.... I dont know about that.

Both players had relatively short matches today so fatigue shouldnt be a factor for either player tomorrow with the quick turnaround. Del Potro played lights out vs Nadal today and he would have to duplicate that form against Federer to have any chance of winning. Djokovic was playing fairly well today and it just seems on some of the points that Djokovic knew that he was doing all that he could and Federer was just flat out better then him. If we were talking about a best of three non major tournament then I think Del Potro would have a better chance to beat Federer, I just cant see him being able to beat Roger in a best of five set match at this point in time. The dropping in ranking to number 2 for a few months and the countless articles about Roger being done have motivated him to take his game to a new level and in his current form, I dont think there is anyone that can beat him right now. Federers groundstrokes and return game are sometimes fairly sloppy but Federers serve has just got better every year and bails him out of tough situations in a match. With that much confidence that you will hold your service game, all ROger has to do is get a break every once in awhile and the match is his. There may come a time in Del Potros career where he is able to beat Roger but this is not the time.

Federer in 4 sets tomorrow.Best of luck guys

Crazy conclusion to the Us Open.Didnt expect this at all especially since Federer won the first set and broke early in the second set, figured it was over at that point. Then when Federer won the third set to go up 2-1 in sets I figured it was over again but Del Potro kept fighting.Props to him.Very surprised that Federer seemed to rollover in that fifth set.Thought it would be alot closer then that when it came down to it. Still very surprised and I know that alot of people lost alot of money on Federer. I know that he was 1.05 in the second set up a break, which is like -2000 or so. Feel bad for those backers

Hope everyone made money during the US Open. Was a good two weeks.Looks forward to talking tennis with everyone again soon.
