the same thing happened to me man, my account is overdrawn and everything because of the bad check, my bank is in the process of mailing the check back to me...also spoke to sportsbook.com, and the rep was surprised that this happened. I asked him if any other customers had reported similar problems with checks and he said no and that he had never seen anything like this happen before (bunch of bs). He had put in a request to "stop" the check or something and requested another check for me. Wonder how long we'll have to wait before we see our money...Comment -

#217I had a withdrawal request from sportsbook.com on 6/18. It was not processed until 7/7. Now I am told I need to wait another 2-3 weeks for a total of 5-7 weeks. I will be lucky if that even happens judging by some of the posts. Has anybody requested payment in a similar time frame? If so, has it been received yet and for how much?Comment -

I too received a check from Zip Payments from the Nevada State bank just about the same did as you. I deposited it to my account this past Saturday and I called my bank today and they told me the account was CLOSED and they would be mailing the check back to me. WTF! Here we go!

I spoke to Art who told me that I would have to call Grappa (866 number) and have them reissue me another check. Grappa I guess is the payment processor. I called there and spoke to Priscilla @ extension 2426 who looked into my check and told me that there are SUFFICIENT FUNDS IN THE ACCOUNT and that the check should have cashed. Bullshit I thought. I asked her to reissue me a check regardless because I believe my bank over some half assed processor. She said they can't do that and told me to call the company that issues the check, THE DREADED SPORTSBOOK.COM!
I called sportsbook and talked to Jose Ruiz. Having read the comments on this thread before calling, I knew exactly what to expect. Jose took down my name and information and said he was adding me to a list. According to him, this list is for people who were part of a bad batch of checks and he assured me that they would reissue me a check and e-mail me as soon as he has an update. I asked him to give me a time frame as to when my check would be sent or when I would receive an e-mail. He said he had no time frame, but assured me THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND IT'S A TOP PRIORITY! I knew once I heard top priority I was in big trouble. I thanked him and got off the phone.
Finally, I called back the only clear English speaking and somewhat honest sounding person I talked to, Art at Zip Payments. I told him I called Grappa like he told me to and told him the line that Priscilla told me. I asked him if he could give me any more information about my check and why Priscilla told me that there were sufficient funds in the account. All he knew was that and I quote "a lot of people have been calling it looks like there is a bad batch of checks." Well, I already knew that. I told him I thought Priscilla @ Grappa was lying through her teeth and he just laughed. He told me to listen to my bank and not her.

Maybe about 3 months ago, I deposited 50 bucks into sportsbook to give it a shot. I got it up to $850 and requested a check on June 11. It took them a couple of weeks to process the check, but finally I got some tracking info posted on their site. It was delivered by FedEx about a week after they posted the update. So 3 weeks isn't too bad I thought. Well they might as well have sent me some toilet paper because the check they sent me was just as usful.

Hello everyone. I thought I would include my story to the list. I guess the more the merrier right????
Been with Sportsbook.com since Feb 2006. Never had any problems until March 2008. Typically a football better, but I have been doing NBA basketball bets. Made it to VIP status last October.

March 2008- Received a withdrawal check (1750) that bounced. Contacted customer service and was told to resubmit. After resubmitting, it cleared no problem.

yes i am sick to see all the news on sportsbook.com...i too am one of the 6-19 check on last day of delivery destroyed and i also have another on way and one deposited on monday..with 10000 in acct..wow..so i have received alot of checks from them with no problem..wow..any1 ever think about losing to someone on cake..are they getting paid..i have accounts on both but truly dont know if that is against the rules..i am an honest person , but i truly wonder what the problem is..Does anyone believe that sportsbook just cant afford to pay..what is bad processor? someone who steals from sportsbook.com or is sportsbook just not payingComment -

#233Guys, here at SBR nobody is ever filtered from expressing themselves or relaying book experiences, but one thing I think we need to be mindful of is to not include the bank processing names in these posts. Because that could make matters even worse should that information fall into the wrong hands.

#245Sorry didn't realize not supposed to name processing names. Was too furious earlier to read any terms before posting. I think someone with some web page talent should create an anti sportsbook.com website. I'd be willing to donate some funds to get that baby up and running. Of course, it'd have to be after I get my real pay check because sportsbook.com sure aint helping my equity. SOB's!Comment
