#353Some thoughts and tips
We need to ensure BitPay earns enough fees for Commerce Bank to consider it a viable product, otherwise it may go the way of the dodo. Especially because they have multiple debit products. And also because strictly transfers and money orders triggers too many flags-- not only on us, but on the bank itself. They don't need a low earner with added Fed headaches + having to eat tons of atm fees.
So, in order, the following may benefit the bank & could substitute having to withdraw cash/ach/buy mo:
1. Substitute BP card for ALL cash purchases, even if just pack of gum. Add it to all your nfc/web Pays: Google/Apple/Samsung/Amazon/Paypal/**/**** Pay.
2. IF your budget flow allows, prepay up to a year in advance as many bills and subscriptions as possible. There's a ton of BillPay services- Quicken, Prism, Xpress, banks, brokerages, etc.
3. Buy discounted gift cards / refill account to your main shopping & eating places- from amazon to wherever.
Too many MO's can make our bank review or close account, the IRS may get reports from multiple transactions... count the fees, gas and time wasted going to buy MO.
Also, RIGHT NOW crypto rising, so converting it to dollars = losing money.Comment -

There's nothing wrong with purchasing MO's with BitPay. The issue is the amount. I strongly recommend not showing your ID at the time of sale. So keep the amount under that limit. That is MGram's policy... and has nothing to do with Bitpay.Comment -

#355I don't think BitPay card and Metropolitan Bank are going anywhere. It would of failed by now.

#357Yeah when I went to get my MO from Walmart it was only for 350, which I had 400 on my card. Cashier even tried a few lower amounts, each declined. I'm just going to stick with using it as a pre paid credit card essentially.
I've heard some new crypto debit cards are coming to the US within the year.Comment -

#361I tried my pin several times. I might go try again in a few days. It just really sucks.
Ready for the new crypto cards to hit. I trade cryptocurrency for a living and the BP card was perfect. I greatly appreciate everyone's input here!Comment -

#362What new cards are coming out? It seems with all these cards they last a few months and then disappear. I wish a major bank would come out with something. Bitpay still good even without the cash option. I just wish they would update what is going on with it instead of remaining silent. Horrible bussiness practice as I am sure they have lost lots of customers.Comment -

#375I just signed up for the Cash App. It comes with a free debit card (mine was shipped in 3 business days) and it looks like there are some bitcoin options as well. Might be worth a look. Limits at ATM are low but there might be some ways to utilize it.Comment -

#379Why not use this card as a regular credit card and purchase items off the internet or in person? I've purchased gift cards off from Amazon and Grubhub with this.Comment -

#382In case anyone doesnt know if you cash out via btc to your wallet...edge/blockchain...whatever, then to coinbase. From coinbase you can transfer to paypal (no fees and instant). You could do online shopping or they have a instant transfer to a debit card which is 1% of the amount with a max fee of $10. So a pretty cheap and fast way to get money to your checking account or other prepaid debit card. Just throwing that out there for those who were unaware.Comment -

#384Yeah no idea. I try to only do $500 or so at a time/per week because if you have too much cash flow in your paypal without a business ive heard there quick to give you the boot. But i have no clue, i heard they dont like btc too...but most financial businesses dont, like banks...etc.Comment -
