Thanks! This will be very useful!
Good luck with your picks, I don't study the French league very much, found it very unpredictable the few games I wagered on it.
You're right about the French league. Much like the English league which I also find quite unpredictable
Feel free to share your picks and start discussions on this thread about games.
Good luck with the rest of your games
Thanks a lot!
By the way Athletico-Villareal is now 3-2 with Villareal playing with 10 players.

Kalimera Vreston pass by here now and again and we can have good football discussions abut our picks if you like.
La Liga. Almeira vs Barcelona: Over2.5 goals/ Barcelona -1 - LOSS/WIN
So close to a full sweep, just needed one more goal but 3-1 on the day will do.
Overall another great weekend, 6-4 overall but if we take games I made profit on it was 9-2

FA Cup: Arsenal vs Hull - Arsenal Win / Over 2.5 Goals (Only final play once final 11 officially released)
Arsenal finally rediscovered the art of scoring after shooting blanks during their barren period and this is partly due to Arshavin who has been playing great and has lifted morale in his team.
This is Arsenals major chance for some silverware this year apart from the Champions League, however, realistically I don't think they have a chance in that competition. Arsenal will field their strongest squad and I hope Arshavin will be fit as if he has a good day he'll rip Hulls defense a new one. Arshavin, Nasri, Wallcott, Van Persie is a very dangerous attack! thankfully Adebayor is injured unfortunately, Bentnar could play, hopefully he'll proove me wrong but this guy is so overated and a terrible finisher.
Hull however, are not out of this, afterall its a cup game and the FA cup is famous for its upsets. They won't give up and will fancy their chances as they perform better away from home however, their injuries are a worry.
I'm gong for Over 2.5 goals for these reasons
- Arsenal re-discovered the art of scoring + Arshavin, Nasri, Wallcot, Van Persie have the potential to cause real damage.
- Hull have a shaky defense
- Both teams are going for the win, an open game therefore is likely
- Arsenal main goalkeeper is injured + Arsenal defense isn't watertight either especially against set pieces which is Hulls strength in attack.

I checked up on your thread earlier but you posted late.
You're probably right about the over.
Hull will be giving it their best shot because it's their chance for some recognition for a pretty good year. Their strong start has kept them away from the danger zone and they have been pretty good overall I think. Also in cup games there have been many upsets.
I also like Brescia, Parma and Sasouolo from the Italian second league and maybe Brighton can pull off an away victory tonight (I hope) in the English Division 1.
What do you think?
Good luck with your bets!

Sorry about posting late Vreston, I wanted to find out the confirmed starting 11 before making my final play and wait for any last minute news.
Brighton won their last game 5-0, Walsall lost their last game 5-0, you would think that if Brighton are to win away now is the time they will do it and will have extra motivation to get out of the relegation zone.
I don't watch enough Itallian Serie B to make picks in that league, however, Brescia look good.

FA Cup: Arsenal vs Hull - Arsenal Win / Over 2.5 Goals - WIN / WIN
Oh man that was stressful, I really thought it was gonna be one of those days, a goal dissallowed, Arsenal hit the crossbar, had goals saved off the line, Bentnar shooting bent...
Then Arsenal win the game with a goal that should have been offside
Well I can't complain, a CLEAN SWEEP had a huge bet on the over so I'm gonna go

Uefa Cup: St.Ettiene vs Werder Bremen - Over 2.5 Goals
This match just shows that League form and Cup form are two different entities, sure that doesn't mean fade a team doing really well in the league, what it does mean is don't fade a team just because they're doing bad in the league.
St. Ettiene are in a relegation battle and Bremen have underperfomed this year. However, recently Bremen have re-found their flair and are scoring again.
I think this could be a trap game and St.Ettiene manager is playing phychological games saying they won't field their strongest squad in the match, that they're not focusing on UEFA, that they're just playing for pride.....
This is the Quarter Final, every team has a long shot chance at winning the competition, St.Ettiene have been in the same league position for most of the season so why coward out now? I think they're trying to make Bremen complacent.
These are my main factors for choosing the over.
- St.Ettiene have to score, they have to attack, so we have one goal minded team.
- Bremen are a good counter attacking team, their strong point is their offense and they will be looking to punish St.Ettiene on the break
- Neither team have a great defense and Bremen won't play fully defensive, its not in their nature, they'll try to score an away goal.
- Bremen do not have a great away record and without captain Baumann they may make some silly mistakes and let in soft goals.
Hopefully we'll have an open game and an early goal to get things started.
Uefa Cup: Ajax vs Marseille - Over 2.5 Goals Reasons for Over.
- Both teams have key defenders out
- Ajax need to score and that's what they're good at
- Marseille are a very fast team and can hit the weak Ajax defense on the counter attack
- Its Ajax club birthday, phychological factor for them, they'll give it their all to win and they need goals to do this.
This could be an exciting and open game, I don't think Marseille will come for the draw with their weakened defense, if they do its a very risky strategy and they could loose the tie outright.

There have already been 2 goals in either game, bet on the Under which is currently around 5 - 7, +400 - +600, wrap it up and make it a 100% Win evening

Uefa Cup: Aalborg vs Manchester City - Over 2.5 Goals - LOSS
- Man City has a bad away record, makes many defensive blunders
- Aalborg has to come and play, if they don't score they are out, they have no choice but to attack
- Man City is missing a few players, however, they have fast players who can counter attack
- Man City can't play a defensive game and they know if they get an away goal it will help alot so they have motivation to score aswell
- This should be an open game, Aalborg have to go for it, Man City are prone to defensive errors but are dangerous on the break.

Early picks. EPL: Portsmouth vs Everton - Everton -0 - LOSS
Everton are unbeaten in their last 18 games and right now they are playing their best football of the season. Finally they have a few of their strikers back, they had such bad luck with ALL their strikers being injured most of the season! This has helped the team offensively, they now have a more attacking midfield as Cahill, Osman and Fellani are now playing behind the strikers, the in-form Jo and Saha. Portsmouth have lost 4 of their last 5 games at home, their one win was against Man City who are awfull away. Portsmouths odds are being inflated by people who believe that because they're in a relegation fight they will win. However, they forget Everton have their motivations aswell, they're only 4 points behind Aston Villa and Arsenal. If they keep the pressure up they could snatch a Champions League space, there is everything to play for, every team wants to get into one of the most prestigous competitions in world football! I am taking the Draw No Bet just to be safe, I think Everton have a good edge to win and if they don't it will be a draw.
Turkish League: Haceteppe vs Antalyaspor - Under 2.5 goals
Turkish League: Kocaeli vs Ankaraspor - Over 2.5 goals
Sorry guys I didn't realise the Turkish games started this early, I just checked its already half time.

Hey Vreston good to hear from you
I've just been really busy for the past week, gonna get back to business ASAP
There may be a few weekend plays, some of the odds seem way off as they usually are with internationals.

WCQ - Bahrain vs Qatar - Bahrain Win
Pollitical issues mixed with Asian games take this away from a simple game of football, Bahrain should still win but there are issues off the field which could effect it so I'm laying off this one.

Not the greatest odds, but you have to like the Saudis to beat UAE. I also favour Scotland over Iceland, must win game for the Scots.
Thoughts?

I read on spanish media that Villa will be rested, Torres will be up front and they will focus on controlling the midfield.....This sounds like what they used to do when Raul was up front, and they would win. I think Villa is a better finisher but Torres is getting better with Prmr Lge experience. Spain can seal the deal with a win and continue to make Spanish History. I am taking Spain 1-0.

I don't know Layo, i'd play the under 2.5. Spain will play with a lone striker, as you mentioned. goals will be hard to come by, as this is an important fixture for both sides. Spain can seal qualification, just about, and the Turks need a win to get back on track. If anything I'd play the draw, Istanbul is a difficult place to travel, and I don't think Spain's ever won there.

WCQ - Liechtenstein vs Russia - Russia -2
Russia are 2nd in their group, they need this win if they are to challenge for first place against plus they have Finland hot on their heels. Liechtenstein on the other hand are last in their group, have not scored a goal and let in 12 in 4 games.
The only thing that worries me is Russia sometimes lack that killer instinct for scoring goals, they create plenty of chances but fail to finish. They did play well against Azerbaycan the other day who have a strong defense and scored 2 past them.
WCQ - Saudi Arabia vs U.A.E - Saudi -1
Saudi are the better team plus pollitics could come into play, they are both Arabs and only Saudi has a chance to get into the world cup. If U.A.E win Iran could qualify, Arabs in that region would rather see their Saudi than Iran in. Plus Saudi is the better team and at home.

Kara, good to see you on the Saudis, my thoughts exactly. Better team, at home, plus politics. Also like the fact that with South Korea winning this morning, Saudi Arabia can move past North Korea into second place in the group. Too important game for them to lose or draw, this will be a Saudi win.

Its Asian Handicap, Saudi -1 means Saudi must win by more than one goal.
For example; Saudi 1 - U.A.E 0 = Push
Saudi 2 - U.A.E 0 = Win

WCQ - Greece vs Israel - Under 2.5
Greece have a good defense only conceding 3 in 5 games but problems in the scoring department. Israel arn't profilic scorers either and their defense is pretty solid. An away draw against group leaders wouldn't be a bad result for Israel who are only a point away.

Hey Kara time for football again today.
Not many picks today.
I didn't have the chance to place a bet earlier but I just managed to place a system bet for the 21:45 (here) games.
I picked these as winners asking for 4, 5 or 6 winners in the system.
Italy
Bosnia
USA
Mexico
Scotland
I wanted to pick some earlier games which ended up the way I predicted but you know how that goes...
Let's see if my luck will change.
I stayed away from Germany, England and France. I smell at least one upset so let's see.
Good Luck to you too.

I like it Vreston!
Got a parlay/multiple for, Holland, France, Germany, Belgium-Bosnia Over2.5, Russia, Greece-Israel Under 2.5 goals, Turkey +0.5 just for fun but the odds are very high
