#106Yeah let's do everything the Nazi SS cops say since he can get away with everything nowadays. And no swinging a bag of beer is not brandishing a weapon, swinging a bag of beer is swinging a bag of beer. How about he was swinging a bag of milk, he'll could of been anything in the bag from shopping, but it was not a deadly weapon that warrant the death penalty. The Nazi SS cops can interpret situations anyway they want and get away with it. Fortunately their were witness when this ex-bengal player got killed, or this Sheriff would of got away with anything they put town and the judge will believe it.

#108Do you ever read stories about cops doing something good in the papers? Or are your papers just filled with hate crimes with cops against minorities? Yes there are bad cops, there always will be. Yes I'm sure some lie in front of judges to cover their own ass, everyone has lied to cover up something. But to run around saying "fukk cops" and things like that is just plain fukkin ignorant. Don't create problems and you "shouldn't" have anything to worry about. Don't hang out with shady fukkin people in shady fukkin areas where cops patrol just to bust someone for being a certain color or because they look like there up to no good. It's pretty fukkin simple. To me, cops are good, there are more good cops than bad. Being from Chicago, what would I rather have? A cop busting a drug dealing ring and keeping the money for himself or no cops and drug dealers just doing as they fukkin please? Cops go to question me and I take off running, I obviously did something wrong and deserve to have something bad happen to me...Get shot? no, but should get roughed up.Comment -

#111According to reports, the deceased suspect fired at officers. It seems he may have tossed the gun at some point, so I agree with the bleeding hearts in the thread, he should have been arrested without incident so that he could rehabilitate behind bars and become a productive member of society.
I wonder who some of the over educated er sheltered, knee-jerk reactionary tin-foil hat folks call in case of an emergency.... 911 or their liberal professors?Comment -

I'm sorry but I guess I'm just a dumb fukkin ignorant kid that thinks cops do MORE good than bad. Yes of course they take some thing to far, they don't think, when they feel threatened they may just draw their gun and shoot.
But I really doubt that a cop is gonna pull you over and come running full speed up to your window and just shoot you. Dumbfukks.Comment -

#113Justifying what? Not one person is perfect, Cops lie just as much as we do, they cover their asses. Is that ok? Hell no, But to say the world would be better off without them or anyone policing our country is just fukking stupid. Basically, we are putting guns in the hands of uneducated individuals who will do anything to protect themselves (which included lie under oath, and shoot first ask questions later).
Dont you think such a responsibility would require a masters degree or atleast a bachlors?Comment -

Yes some sort of college or education would be good, but you figure they go through that in the academy or they figure out if you're a dipshit from the tests they make you take.
Would you rather have no cops and everyone just running around doing as they please? I like the idea of if anyone breaks into my house I can shoot them, if they are armed or not. They have no business being in my house, don't care if it's some drunk fukk in the wrong house or some rapists trying to get in, they should be shot.
But do I want every fukking idiot after a night of drinking to hop in there car and drive around and kill somebody? No
Do I want people driving 100 mph down the street where my kids are playing? no
I can go on and on.Comment -

#116I don't know, I'd guess most folks who spend 4+ years in college don't want to risk their lives everyday for $60k. Cops are generally underpaid for what they do. Ever notice how most of these stupid debates of excessive force involve a criminal? Maybe there's a lesson in there.Comment -

#118Im still in shock you guys would side with these thugs...my god Im a paramedic in a big city in TX we have our police dept split up into 5 units. The ''rude, hassling, pigs, scum, asshole'' cops are always described as the east side cops. Strange that is 98% black people on the east side. The North division everyone loves and gets along with and strange how that is a nicer and richer side of town. I have known cops that have been transferred from North to East Division and they become the same way as the East siders. ITS THE PEOPLE THEY DEAL WITH. If everyone in your city treats you like shit and pulls guns on you your going to shot them end of story. Everyone in here defending this thug never has been in these officers situations I wish each of you could have a gun pulled on you. And if you have a gun dont you pull it out why not just talk to the guy and try to reason with him LMFAO what idiots. If the east side of my city would just calm the F down and stop acting like they are the stars of Planet of the Apes then the cops could lower there guard and just do there job. That will never happen because the east side is pissed off at the world for god knows what, maybe because they are too lazy to work maybe because Obama is not making them rich hell they could still be mad about slavery even though none of them were alive at the time god what ignoranceComment -

definition of:
deadly weapon n. any weapon which can kill. This includes not only weapons which are intended to do harm like a gun or knife, but also blunt instruments like clubs, baseball bats, monkey wrenches, an automobile or any object which actually causes death. This becomes important when trying to prove criminal charges brought for assault with a deadly weapon. In a few 1990s cases courts have found rocks and even penises of AIDS sufferers as "deadly weapons."
so again. how is swinging a bag of beer in a threatening manner not brandishing a weapon? and again, i implore you to take a six pack, put it in a bag, and swing it as hard as you can at one of your buddies heads or have them do the same to you. see what happens. that bag of beer absolutely has the ability to catch a guy in the head and kill him from causing hemorrhaging in the brain, induced coma, etc etc. chances that it actually kills are on the lower end compared to guns/knives/etc etc, but absolutely the intent and ability are there.

#128Everything is a deadly weapon in cop's mind. If I'm holding a paper or plastic grocery back I'm brandishing a lethal weapon because if I put it over someone's face I can suffocate them. The law always protects the over-zealous trigger friendly cops who think a pistol is a toy and not a lethal weapon when they shoot innocent civilians.Comment -

if i saw a cop shoot someone in my neighborhood, i would get really far away from the scene, and i would encourage others to do the same. it would be no question as to why the man was shot.
also if the man was running fromt he cops, fuk him
also people that stand around and shout making the situation more difficult should be shot tooComment -

bunch of geniuses out there.Haha, you lose again. A blunt object which actually causes death. I doubt a bag of beers fits in that category, and I don't doubt these Sheriffs deputy will be held accountable for excessive use of force. So your saying that if someone was swinging a 12 Pack of Dr. Pepper at some cops, they should automatically be condemn to death because it's a deadly weapon in their head
I bet you can look into the history of humanity since the invention of beverage cans, and find nothing where a person actually got killed by one or even severely hurt. As vague as the definition it self tries to get, they can even barely site of cases where even rocks was considered a deadly weapon. Despite rocks being used as a common weapon since the medieval days
Getting hit by an aluminum can is not even equivalent to a good punch in the head.

Motorcycle rider killed after bag of cans lands on highway
AUBURN, Wash. – A motorcycle rider was killed after someone dropped a bag of aluminum cans on State Route 167 Monday afternoon.
It happened just before 5 p.m. in the southbound lanes at the State Route 18 interchange.
Someone dropped the bag of cans, causing other cars to make a sudden stop, said Washington State Trooper Julie Startup. A motorcycle then rear-ended an SUV, causing the rider to fly off the bike.
The rider died at the scene. Nobody else was hurt.
Troopers are asking anyone with information on who dropped the bag of cans to call the Washington State Patrol.
Southbound SR 167 was closed for about 90 minutes, although traffic was allowed to get by on the shoulder.

The sheriff in Kern county in Infamous for these types of incidents...you can look it up anywhere. Sheriffs shoot first and ask questions later.

http://www.krem.com/news/northwest-n...122865254.htmlShould cops start shooting all people suspected of driving under the influence of beer now! Since you driving a car drunk is basically a moving deadly weapon. The point in my argument is, Cops need use higher standards to determine a threat before condemning someone to die, instead of just guessing.

#137It's still not a weapon, if that's what your implying. And the can resulting in the accident was not the result of someone using it a blunt object, so keeping searching. The point is, a can is not a deadly weapon, a Nunchuck, javelin spear, samurai sword, or axe isShould cops start shooting all people suspected of driving under the influence of beer now!
