So our corp tax rate is nearly double the global average. And that drives business and jobs away.

Who is "the rich"? Actually low tax rates absolutely create jobs. You obviously do not own a business which is fine. But imagine if you made tooth picks and your company, after all the write offs, earned $1 million before taxes. After your state, local and federal taxes you end up with $400,000. Sounds good but then you learn if you relocated to Canada your take home would be $700,000. You don't have to be a Wharton School of Business grad(like Trump) to see there is a problem. Your competitors outside of the US are eventually going to run you out of business.

One more point on why the worlds highest business taxes are a bad idea; it's the poor people that end up paying them. You go buy a box of diapers for $15. P&G(the manufacturer) is paying a 35% tax to the government on each box of diapers. That's $5 in taxes that Mr and Mrs working family are actually paying. Businesses don't pay taxes, people do. P&G is going to make a 10% profit on their cost and the corporate tax is simply a cost. A cost paid for the majority of the time by the folks who can least afford it.

Way to build it for free- minus materials- I've heard several people in seriousness, say they'd haul supplies and operate the heavy equipment if it means it gets built fast....then just set up a program where every illegal caught crossing staring this month will not be taken to a holding cell but instead dropped off on the job sites and put to work. They'd get the same meals as if sitting in detention but this way they are using time more productively. Let's do it!

I guess I'm missing something. I said Republicans will lose seats in Congress (meaning both houses) and you came back and offered a bet on just the senate. Since this isn't what I said I assume we are negotiating out to something we are both happy with. Also don't see why it is a forgone conclusion Republicans have a net loss in the house...
