#142Interestingly, Obama also says his father was "the coolest motherfukker around" - even wrote a book to that effect. But the uncomfortable fact is that his father totally abandoned him. Cool, huh?
What I was getting at is that people, absent a good father, are often compelled to seek a substitute - just like a woman without a good husband - and both commonly look to the government as their subsitute daddy. I'm just sayin'.
where is it at?
the system is set up so only rich kids can afford college...wanna take a crack on how much tuition is?...the chances of getting a sports scholarship are very slim...Minorities might get help but thats ONLY if they have a 4.0 or better...what does that translate to?...you can figure it out
but please by all means post a link to where people can get the government to be their "daddy" so to speak...and dont say welfare a $100 of food stamps and $165 cash monthly isnt anyones (well anyone with half a brain) definition of free money...thats just enough birdfeed to not starve to deathLast edited by Grandmaster B; 12-10-10, 04:33 PM.Comment -

#145No pennies for the elderly and disabled, but tax breaks for the rich
Grow up people, all this bitching, moaning and groaning you are doing is not good for anything. The damn elderly and disabled have put a massive stain on the economy as it is. Fukkers are just leeches, if you gave them 5K a month to sit at home they would need or want 6K a month. Nothing is never enough for the non-productive. The wealthy never pay enough, but you people pay nothing. America has become nothing more than a fuking welfare state, cesspool. We need people to make things happen, not bitchers whining about what they deserve or what they are not getting from the government. The government was not initially designed to be your little piggy bank.
I really enjoy reading all of your sad post about "whoa is me, the big rich man is fukking me" Sound like a bunch of whiners and complainers. The world don't need any more complainers. Get off you ass, leave the computer, pick up some cans and turn them in to recycle. Once you make enough money doing it you can buy you a buggy to push them around. A few yrs from now you might be able to afford a 1990 Ford Ranger to haul them around in. Take little steps each day to improve yourself rather than bitch about what somebody ain't doing for you.

#152Aside from the fact the greed in your bloodline is pouring out all over this forum with that heartless rant about not caring if the elderly or disabled all rolled over and died tomorrow...Im pretty sure SSI is around $1200 a month for retirement (paid into by the way their entire life) and $600 a month for disabled (wow disabled and has to live on $150 a week?) all verifiable at the SSI website...I would say the white collar wall street criminals taking vacations to resorts on tax payers bailout money (AIG ring a bell?) to be a "massive stain on the economy"

As far as the wealthy.. I did not agree with the heist on American people either by stealing of tax payer money for generations that will never be paid, given to Billionaires for them to go lounge with. We are in agreement here.
What I stand for is the small business owner like myself that is not a mulit millionaire, but I get fukked up the ass by the government. I am not rich, but I pay taxes like I am. get it now buddie. In a free economy, resources - whether those resources be be capital or labor - will flow to what makes sense to and is in the best interest of the people controlling those resources. Leftists always see only the labor side of the equation and always discount the value of capital. But just as wages are the cost of labor - profit is the cost of capital. Nothing happens without capital. That's why they call it capitalism.
You have to realize that when you tax somehting - you get less of it. When you subsidize somehting - you get more of it. We can't get anywhere increasing taxes on those who produce and raising the subsidizies for those who do not.Comment -

#158your wrong that money has never been taxed. If you die and your estate was worth 1 million prior to your death, your taxed on the million. When it passed to your kids and at that time of death its worth 10 million the 9 million gets taxed. That 9 million has never been taxedComment -

So, what about those between $250k and $5Million?
You are quick to rail against the top 1/2% who, sure, have hundreds of Millions or Billions....but the current tax bracket issue also effects WAY more people than them. So what do you say to someone making $250,006.00 per year with a wife and 1/2 kids.....in say, Boston area? Are THEY rich? How about the same income or pretax and living in NY, Chicago, San Diego?
Bottom line I don't think anyone thinks Buffet, Gates, Jobs, the Facebook guy, etc can't afford a hike but keep in mind:
1) These current brackets effect people who AREN'T millionaires as well
2) Are you in the camp that every dollar made by you or me should be up to the Govt to decide if it wants to take it? Listen to the politicians/pundits closely in the news arguing for more taxes...you'll hear them say "if we LET these people keep their tax cut" "if we GIVE AWAY money to the rich" it's as if they actually think it's FEDERAL money to BEGIN with! It's all about respect man. We have this belief that if you are rich and successful you must be greedy or evil or selfish or just out to screw people over. And yeah, there are some Bernie Madoffs and Enron scum out there. And we catch them, and they go to prison.
Most rich people started out with little and turned it into a lot. Took an idea and their own two hands and built it from the ground up. Despite what a lot of idiots believe, most people that are rich today did not inherit their wealth. They EARNED it. And when you've busted your butt your whole life to create something, something that you believe in that your customers believe in, as evidenced by their willingness to fork over their hard earned dollars to purchase your product, that makes you feel good inside. It's a rewarding feeling for a lifetime of hardwork and commitment to see an idea become of tangible use. But in today's America they don't even get a chance to take in that feeling of decency before some dickheaded group of liberals starts screaming at them about how they are evil exploiters. So you know what they do? They give you a large giant middle finger by taking their money and putting it where you assholes can't get your bitter self-righteous fingers on it.
I don't blame them. Not one damned bit. You blame them for ruining America. I blame you. Why would anyone want to work hard in this country to make something of themselves only to have some group of know-it-all whiners come and take what they've earned while tell them they are dirty evil scum that need to be responsible for everyone else in the country that can't get it together? It's bullshit. And that's why people who actually work for a living (small town America) call you out for being a bunch of snobbish pricks and vote for the GOP and can't stand your liberal whining. Hardworking people hate shame artists. And they hate people who excuse failures. And they certainly hate people who excuse failure and consider anyone successful bad people. So keep it up liberals.
