hell of a drive from milwaukee

over 3 and a half hours

left 4:30 from miller park and I was gunning it, averaging close to 80 (going as high as 85-86), but got to the hotel at 8:10 CDT, approximately.

Visiting the Leinenkugel plant. It doesn't sound like there's much else to do here.

After that, driving to Chicago. I flew in to Chicago 8 days ago and stayed there for a few days.

bunch of big streaks on Greece, also a few on USA. two 18s and a 17 on Greece.

One of the 18s is an annoying prick who goes into the discussions and posts false information/lies to try and mislead others. I hope he never wins anything on SftC.

The odds of me winning the 100K are miniscule, but I do have a decent shot at W13. Gotta get to that elusive number.

The rule change to make it a monthly thing hurt me, because I like to be patient with big streaks.

Hopefully SM will green us early so we can pick the 1pm soccer. I don't think anyone with a brain feels this will end in single digits.

I did force this one, because normally I wouldn't pick something where the line was moving against me (and resulted in a difference of only 2 points in the line). But I don't want to be accused of not going for the prize, and I've missed the last few days.

Why is W13 an elusive number, they stopped giving those member points right? I picked up the SftC shirt in the winter I think, and never got any more points that I know of after hitting other W13s

they're not going to keep giving you stuff if you hit W13 again and again

and even if they didn't give out shirts anymore, it's ridiculous how many times I've had double digit streaks only to fall just short of the number. There's something about it...

anyway, I'm guessing the line movement was caused by people betting USA after someone got inside info about the Greek coach sitting players.

I'll keep going for the month, but what a crusher; to lose the streak after sitting out so long.

worst day ever for streaks

in a beat the streak group for money, have a W9, need a W12 to catch the second half leader...

John Jay has been batting second, I put a 9 streak on him, and La Russa drops him to 5th for no apparent reason!

Randy Winn, who can't hit at all, batted 2nd. Winn shouldn't even be starting, let alone batting 2nd. Plus, Jay has no power. Why the hell would you bat him 5th?

Thanks for screwing me over, La Russa.

Then of course Greece decides not to try, lose my W11 on SftC.

If that wasn't enough, there's a SBR Picks challenge to try to get to 25 wins. Whoever compiles the most wins in a row gets a prize. I had a W11, put it on the Phillies, and lost.
