Here's what KVB MLB Contrarian Fund Backbone looked like when today started...

With a successful CUBS -120 play earlier we got he support off the SMA's...

Now it's SEA +140 tonight.

Rangebound but still trying to break out.

How about that bounce on the SMA 50, the thin green line?

It looks like it is eating time off the clock gaining energy to break out to new highs from a bull flag pattern in a range still yes but above all the moving averages. All the moving averages are starting to converge.

I think it’s great...everyone getting girlfriends...posting memes...in the end if you want to survive as a long term trader...it’s not going to be from following your gut...it’s going to be from grit and work...from managing risk....I have yet to meet anyone who became wealthy outside of social media who became so from winning lottery...yes of course it’s possible, and to not sound too much like a Munger, Buffett...the market is not a casino..if you treat it like such you will leave the same way...drunk and broke(I added that bit). So be smart. Chasing with minimal risk is fine...lord knows we all do and are doing it...but be responsible...trade to live another day.

Taking large bets after you’ve identified a lopsided advantage from hours of laborious study and making concentrated bets based on extensive fundamental and technical analysis works. Making such bets on attractive YT, fit wit or tiktok vids will not.

Understand the macroeconomic backdrop...rates will rise...materials, financials and energy will rise...they will rotate the vast amount of capital into these markets while you are chasing the bright red ball into the forest.

OK right out of the gate this morning the SPY is down at the 417 area, which should be some strong support. Look for a bounce in that area, if not the next level is 416.50, and final spot that I'm willing to chase down to is 416. So I'm buying a 3rd at each point. I'm bailing out at 415.40 after a hourly close, or at 10:30 for us east coasters.

OK still holding half of my UPRO (SPY 3X) sold at 419.80, and will jump off if it comes back down under 419.10. I think they may have another run in this yet for the second half of the day. Still a nice trade for the day either way.

$LODE...dollar looks a little bullish here, so likely can average down on gold and metals as DXY rises. I doubt it sees $92 but who know. I got Jan 2022 calls.

Yeah gold (GLD) bounced right on the 20 DMA TODAY, silver (SLV) is a little different, it close at the bottom of the break up candle from 5/17 after dipping to fill the gap just before that breakup candle. They are both running a test as they say.

GLD looks like it has a date with 183 soon enough, we'll see what happens from there

OIH stopped trading for 3 hours this morning. Dropped a bunch and recovered quickly. Don't recall an ETF halting trading before.

Most likely some corporate action, either a split or spinoff, either way they are seeing massive inflows cause it’s going to the f’n moon

Monday started off glorious for my favored Asian stonks but then Biden kicked me in the nutz w/ the chinese blacklist talk...annoying, but it actually gave me a chance to add more JD calls..I ended DADA YSG with small loses....PDD calls went nuclear and I collected. JD has more love to give. Shares or calls through summer should hit.

I got in Sunrun and it went flat, again, confident we are near bottom so averaged down a bit...not as confident in solar energy this year as combustible fuel or nuclear...but a bottom is a bottom and they will try to shake you out of your conviction just long enough to make you quit.

Oil: Who could have predicted the last dying breath of fossil fuels would come during the emergence of alternative energy...yep....we did...ride the wave...and then wave goodbye as you pay off your home and sell off your beater for an electric vehicle, or maybe even install solar grid into your home circa 2025-2030

Gold: history doesn’t repeat itself but it sure rhymes. Where do we find ourselves? ....in the same place we always do, Gold and Value front running bull markets...

Honestly I think some people root for the DJIA to crash but me, I think about those small time investors that are holding on by the skin of their teeth hoping to make enough money to buy their kids a new phone. Just buy, let's see Dow 45k by 2023.

GLD had a small pull back midweek but you had to be fast.

I sold a slug at $176 thinking we would meander back to GLD's recent comfort zone of $171ish. We still might. But forward momentum continues.

ANY close above $178.85 is a huge buy sign.

Yeah. I'm pretty weighed down for me on the GLD Front, but I was watching that sale for a day. Still think the overall miners in just about anything that comes out of the ground is gonna catch fire when people start seeing the earnings this late summer.

Yea, I don't follow any miners but metal prices are high across the board.

GLD still faces higher interest rates and more metal produced at these prices. You're a chart guy I think GLD plays into the way you model. The underlying up fundamental is real inflation is 7%. But nervous sellers will sell as we get to 2% up to maybe 2.6% on the 10. Buy the dips and look for higher lows & higher highs.

CLOV got squeezed today. This one is one of the most shorted stocks out there. Would not be surprised if it either came down, or flew to the moon in the next week.

We've definitely seen support all along the way since that mountain head and shoulders.

The yellow dot is where I posted that we would go sideways or down a little.

The first purple dot is where I pulled money out of the Fund.

The Red Circle is where I said we could lose 6 units and test that lower support line.

The little purple circle is where I put half the money pulled out back in, thinking it might pop.

And the last purple dot is where I put all the money back in.

So I'm ready for that breakout any time now.

Yep, just eating time off the clock waiting for a catalyst just like the actual stock market is doing now. Your range is really tight as this bull flag continues. It's been my experience that the longer the consolidation period, the bigger the move.

So added 50 shares of AQB @ $6.00 to the shares I already have, also added a little bit of the AU 25 shares at $22.29, then sold 10 shares of ITA @ $112.50, and I'll hold the other 10 shares to see if it can make it to the $120 range while raising my stop loss to $109.50.

Waiting on DKNG to get to my first price target of $55.50 to unload more of my position. Then probably unload the rest at $57.70.

Fugging GME was up $55 early. Now it's up $12 to $292. I'm short calls for this Friday at $500 strikes($208 out of the money) and I'm sweating bullets. Unreal. BTW the Nov 11 $500 calls on GME are trading for $5.55, I shat you not.
