Cruz with 3 dropped passes, a fumble lost by David Wilson, and the Giants failure to convert 1st and goal from the one yard line. And the total still fell just shy...
Overall, I wasn't very impressed with either team tonight, minus a couple of standout players. The Giants secondary in particular looked soft.

Trouble posting for some reason... I took the Panthers +8.5 (+161) x1 when they were down 9, but the Panthers had made it to the TB 3 yard line by the time SBR worked again for me. Won't count it, but still hoping Cam pulls this out.

Brutal losses on the Packers/Seahawks on their final drives. I really don't understand why the Seahawks weren't running the ball in at the end there...

Payton looked great tonight, but what really won the game for the Broncos was the performance by their offensive line. Outstanding run blocking and pass protection gave Manning the flexibility to pick the Steelers apart while sitting back in the pocket.

i like the over in indy (i will prob say this quite a bit this season) no clue on side, gun to head id lean ur way i think...
no freaking clue with buf/kc and willing to admit it..
hard not to like saints/car over..
agree with phi and think my Lambs are the right side but worry about that oline, lean under but if i can find 20 points for stl i will prob join you..
sea secondary is tough and in sea something tells me romo makes some bad decisions, that said hard to find points for sea, barring defensive and special teams plays..tough gm..
gun to head id prob take the points with det but not really sure on that one yet...gl this week

I regret playing the Rams so early. Now up to +171 and climbing.
Dallas was another line I just had to play, but I can see a lot of ways the Cowboys could get hung up in that stadium, resulting in a closer matchup than it appears on paper. Ultimately, it will take Russell Wilson playing well above expectations for that bet to lose, I think.
The Buffalo play is partially an anti-KC play. Cassell is just not a guy that challenges teams with a vertical passing game. He absolutely needs the run game to be working effectively for him to make plays through the air, and Buffalo will show a stout run defense this week. Tough spot for KC, in my opinion, but they're still getting a lot of love in the market. Seems like the books are just dangling an attractive number on them.
GL to you as well. Hopefully Week 2 is better than Week 1 was.

In a few ways, the Steelers failed to impress in Week 1, but given the change in OC, I thought that Haley & Rothlisberger worked quite well together. I really liked their 3rd down playcalling and execution, and I think that their running game will improve dramatically this week against a Jets D-line that got gashed for 7.5 ypc by the Bills. They were live in their first game until the 4Q when Peyton really took over the game and forced the Steelers to play from behind and the Tracy Porter iced the game with that interception.
The Steelers are a team that historically recoils violently off a loss, and I think the Jets big day really deflated the line here, giving good value on the Steelers.

Giants pk (-116) x2
The Panthers took what they wanted today against a poor Saints defense after losing both games against NO last season. The Giants are a much tougher task. The Bucs were very fortunate to score 21 points off three Giants turnovers today, making it a much more competitive game than it should have been today. The Giants will be back to form next week.
9/24
Packers -3 (-123) x4
The Seahawks pulled off a big upset today against the Cowboys, aided early on by some luck from their special teams squad. The Packers got back on track last week against the Bears, and coming off a long break, I would expect them to be in top form for this game, while Seattle is unlikely to repeat their performance two weeks in a row. The look-ahead line was set at GB -5, and I'd be surprised if the line doesn't move back up over the course of the week.

Good day, bad decision on the Lions. I don't see anyone on the Niners upcoming schedule that will be able to match up with them in terms of physicality at the line of scrimmage, other than the Giants. I think it's time to dispel the myth of the ineffectiveness of Alex Smith, because with the balanced offensive system the Niners run, and the talent and coaching around him, they're just such a tough matchup. Barring multiple SF injuries, or severe inflation of their lines, I don't think it's wise to bet against them this season.
