when they start back up, I’ll make a thread with like a 2k bankroll and track it, for easier followingComment -

Race 7
Its really tough to figure the pace scenario in this field, because there isn’t much at all. Bob Baffert Ships #5 Dessman (5/2) , back to Arky and brings a lights out work tab along. Think its very interesting they gave this one 7/8’s work for this stretch out. Never been worse than second. Curious to see if Garcia sends this one early. I suppose Steward Elliiot could send #1 Wild Point (4/1) , from the rail, while trying to cross the finish line first for the 3rd straight time. Although tough ask vs winners here. #2 Comedian (6/1) , & #3 Locally Owned (15/1) , Both should take a step forward 2nd of the layoffs and make sense underneath. #6 Tikhvin Flew (15/1) , & #7 Everfast (4/1) , Come in off long layoffs, carrying lots of back class. A lot of these non winners fo 2 just had so many chances, and really bulk together as they look similar and want to come from way off the pace in faceless race. I think Albert Stall’s entires have the best chance to upset the favorite here. #9 Soaring Bird (9/2) , Can at least be near the lead, but has been empty late. I’ll Just have to single Baffer to kick off this pick 5.
#5 Dessman Single
Race 8
#7 Hidden Scroll (4/1) , is primed to run his best race off the short career. #2 Flagstaff (7/2) , Has been just beating Roadster and running in those 5 horse fields they call stakes races out in cali (was the toughest toss for me) #9 Whitmore (5/2) , Might get the perfect stalking trip. #4 Bobby’s Wicked One (3/1) , Is crazy quick, but won’t get soft one the lead, and I think Hidden Scroll is even quicker. #8 Manny Wah (30/1) , I have no clue what happened in the lats race, but fired a 46 flat half mile work after that. Pretty silly # here. Because of the predicted wicked pace you almost have to include some that will benefit from a complete collapse and I choose #3 Hog Creek Hustle (15/1) , & #5 Wendell Fong (30/1)
Going 4 deep in this second leg #9 Whitmore , #7 Hidden Scroll, #3 Hog Creek Hustle, & #5 Wendell Fong
Race 9
I felt the need to go deep in this race as well. How can you not use #1 Shanghai Tariff (5/2), but could be sent from the rail and team up with the cox duo #5 Meadow Dance (4/1) , & #6 Break Even (3/1) , along with others. Those 3 seem like the top flight in here, but with another blistering pace scenario predicted, I had to find some horses who could benefit and come late. I choose the #4 Headland (10/1) , & #8 Heavens Whisper (6/1)
Using all 5 I typed
Race 10
In the Apple Blossom in looking in a different direction than most, Im not high on the spots for the likes of #4 Come Dancing (3/1) , #11 Serengeti Empress (4/1), (but will be the favorite). Another loaded speed race and nobody is getting off easy here. #14 CeCe (7/2) , Felt this filly just has done nothing wrong, and is the horse you must include. Then I took some shots. #1 Ollie’s Candy (12/1) , Joel will save ground on this one, and could find a seam late, if not settled too far back. #5 Point on Honor (10/1) , 2nd off the layoff in this spot, she has beat some rivals in here, and another stalking trip in the works. #6 Street Band (15/1) , I think deservers another chance, nobody was going to catch Serengti Empress in the azeri out there running those fractions by her self. Im glad to take this graded 1 stakes winning filly, and My local OTB is in on this by group, so that’s fun as well.
Using #1 Ollie's Candy, #5 Point of Honor , #6 Street Band , #14 CeCe
Race 11
I think its perfect setup for Cox/Talamo (7/2), With the #2 Kurilov (7/2) , forget about the last race against pirates punch , won’t be facing anything like him on the drop. Quick turnaround for this one. I believe you could single here and bookend the ticket with singles. Cutting the ticket in half if your investing less. But call it horse player instinct or whatever, I passed on the Asmussen / Santana horses all throughout the sequence, so I will double my ticket from $40 to $80 and take the rail horse #1 Timeline (4/1) , second off the layoff and wont kick myself if get this this far.
Using both I typed
Here's my Oak Late Pick 5 Ticket
5
3,5,7,9
1,4,5,6,8
1,5,6,14
1,2 ($80)
I will play some other wins bets maybe verticals during the sequence to try and pick up some money on the side. But nothing until this first leg kicks off…Last edited by Louisvillekid1; 04-18-20, 01:28 PM.Comment -

you are thinking like me. Apple Blossom is a fall apart race I think too....now watch one of the speeds get easy lead and others all take back!!! Point Of Honor is my top pick but will be bet down from 10-1 other closers too you listed plus couple more bombers make sense
