Not only that, but you double posted the same question 5 minutes apart. Why do that in my thread. Just start your own or do some research. GL

Kings/Wizards over (200.5) 1x (Locked)

My biggest regret in awhile is not playing the over between Sacramento and Miami last night. That was my third strongest rated play on my card, but I backed off because of the line movement. In this case, I think the line says it all. Neither team has opened with a total this high but in a few situations all year and I think the oddsmakers expect a high scoring game in this matchup. Despite having this set at 204 myself, I had expected the oddsmakers to open this under 200. When I saw an opener between 200.5 and 201, we still have value but the over lean is validated. Both offenses are ranked top 10 in PACE, possessions per game, points in paint, fastbreak points and fastbreak efficiency. Both defenses are the weakest of the weak and rank bottom 10 in those same defensive categories, plus DEFF, TS%, EFG%, etc. I just don't expect either team to have any desire to play defense in this game and instead simply look to pad their stats with some "streetball." In addition, with Isiah Thomas' insertion into the Kings' starting lineup, I think we see both him and Wall battle it out in an up-tempo game where both point guards push the ball up and down the court. I have this game set at 204 giving us over 3 points of value. I think we could see this one going up tomorrow morning to the 201-202 range, so I am going to lock it in now under that key number of 201. Based on the foregoing, I am rolling with the over for 1x. Standard "Straight" wager is ~ 350. So yes, this was larger than normal. Once in a while I like to take a shot if I feel strong about a play and have the additional funds from W's. I appreciate your curiosity and I do know how important it is to stay disciplined and not dump on the last play of the night, if nothing has gone well earlier in the day's plays (like you have mentioned - money management). Sure its a concern, but I could argue that the players only meeting has helped pull this team together.

Bottom line, however, is that this is solely a value play. Last time these teams played, the lakers won as -3.5 favorites in cali which means the books adjusted 2.5 oints more than standard for home court. I was able to get +5 this morning, which is too much value to pass up for a team that is so statistically similar. Perhaps the books are tipping their hand because dallas is the play, but I dont think that is the case because of tge lack of depth in dallas' front court. I think this is a 3 point game no matter who wins. Good luck in whatever you choose.

First and foremost, I hate the Lakers. And I was even messin up with Evidence of Dilated peoples after their show last night 'bout the Lakers. When I told him if he would see the game tonite, he said: "we have no shows schedule for 22nd, only 23rd. its not a coincidence, I think". The Lakers, Los Angeles... everyone has the Mavericks marked on their calendars. Not just for home games, but for all the games they play. Unless ball hog Kobe destroys us with errant shooting, I think the Lakers can get the win once again.

Does the Under 180 for the LAL/DAL game look appealing? Both teams like to slow down and play a half court set. Without checking the stats, I'm pretty sure they are both in top 1/2 of league in defense and bottom for fast break points. Just a thought.

How about the Over in the Clippers game? Match-up is obviously great for the Over as we've seen in the past 2 games (even if one of them stood @ 203), Clippers only play after allstar game although the Nuggets play tommorow. My biggest concert though is Lawson as questionable... Would like to go with the Clippers on the sheer fact that they are the better team and also the revenge angle, but the line is now @ 8, really high on my mind.

LTA thoughts on +7 for hawks? seems closer to me, with the knicks having slight defensive edge, and the hawks having slight edge on offense at least statistically. Hawks are on a 2 game road losing streak, but they were to good teams (blazers, and bulls). do you think the 5 game road trip is too much for them to keep it close?

Lol, yes it may still be the play. Unfortunately, you've lost 3½ points in value. If contemplating a play at 204, I would wait to see if it happens to drop. And, if not, lay off. IMO
