I have this game set at 177 and might add to this play down the road. I am rolling with the under for 1.5x right now (note 0.50x added). Good luck.

Writeup to come. The lines are lighting up like Christmas trees so I need to be ready to jump on numbers I am looking for such as this game. Most of the market is at 182.5, but when my local that follows Legends just opened this game at 183 instead of 182.5, I jumped on it. I realize this line could go up if Rose is announced as playing, however, I still like this under at 183. I have this game set at 178 so we are getting quite a bit of value here and I am rolling with the under for 1x. Good luck.

If the Jazz win, I will grade Play #3 as a win. If the Jazz cover the +3 but lose, I will grade Play #3 as a push. If the Jazz lose by more than 3, this will be a loss. Bottom line is that I don't think the Spurs winning streak continues tonight in Utah. The Jazz have a big advantage inside as the Spurs are without Splitter, in addition to Ginobli. I'm not sure Pop is going to run Duncan ragged tonight with Portland looming tomorrow. This is especially true after he logged more than 40 minutes in OT against the Clippers. I expect Jefferson to have a monster game inside against the Spurs tonight. With the Jazz playing without Bell, they are actually more rested because Howard did not have many minutes last night and both he and Hayward should be fresh. While the Jazz have struggled on the road, they have played quite well at home. In the first game between these two teams, the Spurs were set at -14.5 at the close with an opener of -13.5. Now, the Spurs only open at -2. With a standard adjustment, the Spurs should be -7.5 or -8.5. If you consider Ginobli and Splitter are out, that is about 3 to 4 points being generous. However, we also need to remember that the Spurs are off 1 day of rest and Utah is on a b2b. So why the heck are the books setting the Spurs so low. Well, Utah has depth going against a thin Spurs team playing in the altitude against a good home team playing with quadruple revenge. Plus, the oddsmakers are tipping their hand by really enticing Spurs money setting them so low. More than 70% of all spread bets are on the Spurs and more than 60% of ML bets are also on the Spurs at SI (Sspy has the opposite for ML), yet the line has moved in favor of Utah for most of the day and closing Utah +2.5 (-108) at Pinny. I think the books and sharps are leaning Utah and I'm rolling with the Jazz for 1x (0.50x on the ML and 0.50x on the spread). Good luck.

OK LTA, let me defend you pick. First I played it this morning, so I was already sold. Getting plus money and points with Utah while getting one of the most clear home/road differences in the NBA in your favor looked good to me. If there are such things as a "sharp plays", betting Utah tonight going certainly was one. Their price was dropping due to a less than impressive road trip. They would have been a pk versus SA a month ago in this spot, imo.

AS I look back tho I am reminded that trying to stop a streaking team (SA) can be a road to ruin as streaks are real and SA was playing top ball right now. But that is in hindsight.

Utah played well tonight against a playoff team that knows how to win games in a variety of ways and is well-coached. So, I feel it was the right play taking the home dog while getting the wrong result. Utah should have covered the line even while losing the game. Your ML play was just trying to get all the gravy, and it damn near happened.
