I'm also leaning cats Tex, no official plays yet but I'm looking into four games 2 of which are real juicy, one of those being Charlotte.

          Tue 12/1:

(2x) nuggets -13 - back to back for the warriors traveling into denver where the nuggets look to bounce back off the embarassing loss to the wolves.

Nuggets is a great play, I believe teams coming into Denver from the West Coast on the back end of a back to back are 1-17 (SU) if I am not mistaken. Just like you say its revenge time, no D for G-state? This is reeks of blowout.

Charlotte/Boston over 179.5 - Charlotte has been playing very, very well offensively lately, and I see there being a lot more scoring on their part and overall than in the first meeting between these two this season.

Parlay (3-team) - Charlotte/Boston OVER 178 (bought 1.5) + Washington + 8 (bought 1.5) + New York Knicks +10 (bought 2) - Went on the safer side with this one. Like the over in Charlotte as I said, and I think the Wizards and the Knicks can be pretty competitive in their respective games tonight.

Like the Nuggets for the later game like some of you guys. Think I'll make a play on that one as well, looks way too good to pass up.

That helped me feel a whole lot better about my night. Went and lost a big chunk on NHL tonight on a couple of plays that had looked too good to pass up. Now I'm wishing I'd put more on those two plays!

i sure could use a little less offense from the nuggets. my god. pretty much always a chance when you have under 233 though.

I wish I'd gone with the Nuggets with the points, but I normally shy away from spreads that high.

One more for the night to finish things out:

                                  Portland/Miami OVER 92.5 2nd half -110

                                        Three plays for today:

Washington Wizards -1 -140 (bought 1.5 - risking 1.75 units to win 1.25 units): Milwaukee's had a lot of struggles on the road this season, and even though the Wiz are playing a home game immediately after a road game at Toronto, I like the more veteran team to come out on top here.

Sacramento Kings -1 -130 (bought 1 - risking 2.79 units to win 2.15 units): I jumped on this line when it came out last night, figuring that it'd move the opposite way today, but as it happens, I could have waited until now and gotten them at -1 without having to buy the points. Alas, a win is a win is a win, and if they win, I won't be complaining about the small-ish difference between what I have and could have had.

The Kings are on a three-game win streak, and the Pacers are ice cold. If the Kings come out playing well from the get-go, this one could get ugly, but I'm playing it safe nonetheless.

                                        5-team 5-point teaser: Washington +2, Cleveland -2, Chicago -2, Minnesota/Memphis UNDER 208, Sacramento +4 (risking .27 units to win .97 units)

Good luck to everyone with their plays today!

So far today I like the Knicks tonight as they are the best 4th quarter team in the league when computing PF vs. PA. They are the best 4th quarter back door covering team in the league this year. Tonight they get 13.5 against a Majic team that rarely covers ats.

                                                  By JON KUIPERIJ

New York Knicks (460 points for, 379 against) << 4th Quarter points
Say what you want about the Knicks and their 3-14 record, but this team doesn't quit. Playing coach Mike D'Antoni's fast-paced style, New York (7-10 ATS) can score points in bunches and quickly turn a blowout into a respectable score.
The Knicks burned Lakers backers last week when they outpaced L.A. 28-17 in the fourth to lose by 10 points and covered as 14-point underdogs. New York also rallied from 14 down at the start of the fourth quarter to cover as 5.5-point dogs in a two-point loss to the Jazz Nov. 9.

Also love the Cavs play in this spot Dex. I would like to post a copy of another thread on a different site and the aurthor gave me permission to post it here and it gives a great breakdown of the Cavs/Suns game tonight. Here it is:

"Tonight I have my strongest NBA play of the season in the game between covers.com/postingforum/post01/showmessage.aspx?spt=22&sub=100604692# and Cleveland. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind this game will be an absolute debacle.

The Suns come into tonight on the end of a bizzare road trip that took them to Minnesota, then across the boarder to Toronto and then last night to the Mecca of Basketball Madison Square Garden. Tonight will be the last night the Suns play until they get back home for a game against Sacramento on Saturday Night.

Those of you who have followed my covers.com/postingforum/post01/showmessage.aspx?spt=22&sub=100604692# over the years know that I love these get-a-way day situations. Especially featuring teams that have been crossing int and out of different time zones in a short span. Though for me this is just part of the story.

The reason I believe that tonight provides a GOM situation, versus a simple fading of the get-a-way team, deals with the style Phoenix Suns play (and the shape of the personnel that plays for them.)

Since the Suns are ending the road trip tonight... and are playing in the 2nd game in 2 nights...its important to look at their up-style tempo and the toll it takes on their players. Although the up tempo games are at times fun to watch, they are very taxing on the body. Throw in the travel and local time changes and it becomes VERY taxing. The Suns can play the fast break game....but historically, they just aren't good at putting a whole bunch of good efforts together (especially in a short period of time) because of the physical price it takes. Those of you wondering why the Suns can't win in the playoffs now know why. Not enough covers.com/postingforum/post01/showmessage.aspx?spt=22&sub=100604692# to sustain high pressure long a series.

Tonight is a prime example of how the Suns energy erodes without rest. I really love this game tonight because not only are the Suns at the end of a tiring road trip, but they also have played their last 3 games versus high tempo teams. So not only have they come off 4 road games, but they have been running their asses off in the last 3 straight.

The proof in the pudding is this... The Suns offense has gotten progressively worse as the road trip has progressed. Look at their scoring output decline, their scoring attempts decline and their turnovers. Below are some raw numbers.

                                                        11/25 @ Twolves Suns win 126-111 (52/84 FG, 8 Turnovers)
                                                        11/27 @ Toronto Suns win 113-94 (43/84 FG, 16 Turnovers)
                                                        12/01 @ Knicks Suns lose 99-126 (35/77 FG, 17 Turnovers)

Above is a good example of how the Suns just run out of gas and get sloppy. Also notice the teams they played, all very high tempo teams that can run with them...This is even more draining on the energy tank.

Tonight they face a Cavs team that has been resting at home since Nov. 28. This is will obviously not be a look ahead game for the Cavs as the Suns are a hot ticket in any city the play, so we know they will be amped and the building will be sold out and full of energy.

The Cavs are also a very physical team, the last thing a road weary Suns want to see right now. The energized Cavs will also be facing that in addition to be in a temporary an offensive decline, is always a defensive mess. The Suns are giving up a horrid 107 point average on the road this season. The Cavs only give up an average 93 PPG at home.

Though the Suns may hang early... this game will get out of control as Cleveland lowers the boom and delivers a blowout win"

Game of the Month Cavs -7.5
