#185ok here are my thoughts/ramblings of the games tomorrow honestly nothing sticks out, i've made a play on the Hawks +6.5 because i liked the number.
Magic @ Nets - The line speaks volumes in this situation, the Nets after being -2.5 away to the Magic are now -7.5 at home which roughly makes sense, normally you get an extra 3 points for being at home and i guess the extra points are due to the smashing the Magic faced. I think this is an extremely tough game to call, the Magic really got out done by the Nets and they proved to be too deep. Can the Nets be reliable enough to hold an 8 point lead till the end really depends on the shooting of Orlando. Theres also a chance Nelson plays, he's listed as doubtful but if he does play this is a tough bet. Either way i dont trust the nets here.
Hawks @ Clippers - I like this bet a lot because I feel like the Hawks are getting underrated, they have made some of the best off season moves to create a very versatile and deep line up. Clippers are deep and have a great squad too but +6.5 is a good start for two elite teams playing each other. I expect Jordan to slow down on his scoring and be less effective offensively this game and I believe that the Hawks secondary unit will be able to compete with the Clippers and match them for productivity. This is a huge factor when vsing the Clippers, if you can match their bench productivity you are one step closer to beating them. For ATL to cover and be competitive Horford needs to be much more active offensively and they need to get him involved early, Josh Smith also needs to play smarter shot selection and not get into the rhythm of taking jump shots consistently on possessions. Hawks are a deadly 3 point shooting team and will need to find their range to put the pressure on the Clippers making shots, Stevenson will have a better game which will help. Look for Jeff Teague to continue his form as well and light it up.
Heat @ Grizzlies Lots to say about this game, in my opionion the key to beating the Heat is having skilled big men and having a strong perimeter defence - Memphis have both. Bosh has been having a monster start to the season and he is no longer the player he was when he joined the Heat. However the size of Gasol will prove difficult for Bosh and what makes things worse is Gasol can pass, adding in Randolph these two matchups will cause issues for the Heat as long as Memphis use them they will be able to score. Last year these two teams played once and the Grizzlies managed to defeat the Heat and snap a 17 game win streak. They did this through great perimeter defence (4-18 3PM by Miami). Another interesting factor is that both Wade/James are not 100%, now I know whenever a superstar isn't 100% they dominate and LBJ is the best player in basketball but it's still something to consider. If Memphis use their bigs and they stay sharp on their perimeter defence I can see them taking a win here. I like them at the +2
Cavs @ Thunder - I don't know about you guys but I believe the Thunder have been sloppy since game 1. I haven't been confident in their offence and at times have looked awful. Mix that in with the fact the the Cavs are extremely unpredictable and have the ability to shoot well makes this an easy lay off game for me. The only thing I like about this is the fact that the Thunder are still getting used to their new rotations and that they play really well at home and the Cavs play quite poorly on the road. If any of you want to make a play i'd take Thunder 1H and leave it at that.
Kings @ LAL - Another tough game, Kings have been playing great ball but always end up giving away the cover in the 4th like most bad teams. When your betting a high spread with a bad team your basically praying that they hit their shots. Cousins will have a great battle down low but ultimately the Kings definitely lack size to guard both Howard and Gasol and I feel like LA in a way are playing for Phil Jackson here in a sense that if they perform he'll come coach. I think this is a very dangerous game and I think LA is the only side you can take here after their demolishing of GSW the other day. The Lakers would be very motivated to win a collection of home games in this next set of games here so be careful.Comment -

#193Lakers -10 (1.5x)
Lakers -6 1H (1x)
Dwight Howard Over 20 Points (1x)
Dwight Howard Over 10.5 Rebounds (0.5x)
So I've had a good look at this game and I really like LAL here. Without Cousins the Kings are in big trouble, I strongly believe that Jordan Hill is better than all of the Kings bigs. So that means Gasol/Howard SHOULD have a field day, the Lakers need to be smart and feed the bigs and constantly make offensive plays for them, due to Gasol's great passing ability I believe we will see a few passes between the two big guys. Kobe should take the back seat here early and get the bigs going, if the game is tight/lakers end up down a few points then Kobe will take over however I think it would be key to get the bigs going. Defensively the issue will be with the guards, Tyreke alongside the Kings shooters could cause issues but as long as they don't shoot lights out i'm comfortable here. Dwight/Gasol shoul eat up the rebounds. Lakers are still playing for respect, playing for their fans at home and in an underlying way they are playing to entice Jackson to sign that dotted line. They want to prove they have all the pieces Jackson would need for another ring. Lets fukkin go.Comment -
