k guys, have recently gone on a splurge of opening new accounts at a few different sites to be able to tail Sando's and others bets, and with that comes sign up bonuses!

I've got a freebet of $500 and another one of $100. Normal T&C's, must be bet selection of odds over 1.50 etc.

    What do I do SBR?

If you have a freebet you lose the stake and only get the winnings, so if you care about EV you'll back something at longer odds.

            $100 at 2.00 = $100 (You give up 50%)
            $100 at 10.00 = $900 (You give up around 11%)

See how much more you gain from the longer odds. The more comfortable you are the wider you can go in the market.

Sportsbet did something similar to me going back 2 years ago, I was having a crazy run in the NBA, I spoke to their customer service team and the answer they game me was "your account is being evaluated" so I basically withdrew my entire bankroll (which took 4 weeks) and been using Centrebet as my main book. Recently Ive also been using bet365 which gives heaps of markets for WNBA. Funny part is sportsbet rang me earlier this year and asked why I was no longer using my account, and what they could do in order for me to come back to sportsbet. I was given a $200 free bet, which Ive used to build a small bankroll. I find sportsbet average for US sports but god for some of the AFL markets, especialy 1-39 markets. I haven't had any other problems with any other books since. One of my theories in bankroll management is you want to look like an eager / novice gambler. When I build my bank roll up I withdraw the whole lot, and a week later make a couple of deposits back into the account as a sufficient starting point to go again.
Yer I just let me bankroll to build up I don't withdraw I just leave it... Looks like my sportsbet days are numbered.. I'm the same I use bet365 a fair bit but like u said sportsbet are pretty good for afl

Thanks for the advice, I still can't quite get my head around how it works out to be more +EV betting on something with longer odds, but you're right. Time to gamboool it up...

Sportsbet are scum, but you just have to know how to make it look like you are a fish. Bet strange amounts (like $203.14) go a crazy parlay (15 teamer or something) bet a small amount on a random horse race in South Africa. I'm sure I'm flagged as a sucker waiting to be parted from his money - just the way I like it.

It is a disgrace though, in a way this is why I want this industry properly regulated.

I also just signed up to luxbet, I'm thinking about putting it on Australia in the second test. Rain doesn't look like it will be a factor. Hopefully hedge at least $500 during live betting.

Once again hitting the big plays and missing on most of the speculative little 0.5 unit plays. Once again cut into profit margins by not just playing the strongest plays. Betting on those two offload props was definitely getting carried away. I've never bet an offload prop in my life. Anyway - the end result was still achieved.

Yes. International All Sports (IAS) is identical in markets offered, prices and lay-out to Sportsbet. They are both owned by Paddy as Sportingbet and Centrebet are both owned by William Hill. IAS is more focused on racing than Sportsbet. Before they were bought out by Paddy, IAS built a big reputation in the racing industry.

Wow the Aussie books sound horrible as far as funds release and bet restricting goes. The NZ TAB rip you off on juice, but at least you can get your money next working day at the latest, and they don't put blocks on you either.

Davo did you deposit with a DC? I have just resolved this issue myself.

I deposited using my CC but my withdrawal bounced back because they said it was a DC. This took around 2 weeks to end up back in my account.

Lets hope the Souths halves can deliver next year.

I think we need to find space for Dugan and Hayne in the side. We need to find a way to give the Jennings Morris side more early ball. I think the Woods experiment is over. Also 4 forwards on the bench from now on.

Yea saw that, 88 metres each, what are the odds! Dugan had a great game, NSW loses nothing with him at fullback. I'm not sure about what to do with Hayne, I'm not a big fan of just "fitting in" a player in a spot he's not a specialist in playing, it rarely works out well. Hayne may remain injury prone and it may be a moot point anyway.

Morris' brothers had a huge game, definitely justified their place - I think I've been converted to fans of theirs. With Gallen, Woods is irrelevant, and I'd put Fifita in the starting side. Forwards are not the problem for NSW, we can beat QLD there for years to come IMO.

I'll expand upon my example so you understand.

The following example would be true with real money:

If you bet $100 at 1.50 you collect $150 for a $50 profit.

If you bet $100 at 2.00 you collect $200 for a $100 profit.

If you bet $100 at 10.00 you collect $1,000 for a $900 profit.

When you use a freebet you only collect the profit, you do not get the original stake ($100 in this example) back. The longer the odds the less value is lost from not having the original stake returned.

You can agree that if you were to bet $100 at 2.00 and only collected $100, had you bet returned, if you won it would be a terrible wager. Whilst if you were to bet $100 at 10.00 and only collected $900, it's much closer to the true return.

If $500 is a lot of money to you, you can sacrifice EV for a higher probability of a win, but you must realize what you are doing.

I've watched all of Carlton's recent games and they are really not in a good place right now, one of the worst forward lines in the comp. Also looking at North TT, and North 39+.

I've watched all of Carlton's recent games and they are really not in a good place right now, one of the worst forward lines in the comp. Also looking at North TT, and North 39+.

The books go off official NRL match stats, however obviously they are wrong on this one as Luxbet have already paid out on Tamou (as anyone who tailed can also confirm). The rest were all clear winners or losers. That one prop was the only one in dispute.

On a side note imagine how much money you could make on props if you simply were part of the coaching staff or close to one of the players. For example if you knew that team A was going to hammer team B's fullback under the high ball all night, well then you would be very interested in prop markets available on team B's fullback. Simply knowing (or correctly deducing) a team's game plan allow's you to beat the markets set by the books, irrelevant of the inherent value in said markets that may or may not be present? Of course how long you could pump such small betting markets without drawing attention from your books is another concept entirely.

Can you not simply bet against that option on another book at say $1.40 odds or whatever they may be.

                                                                        $100 (free bet) = $200 profit

                                                                        or

                                                                        $150 (regular books) = $60 profit.

Thus, either way you are guaranteed a profit no? Either up $50 on luxbet or a free $60 on your regular book?

And you simply keep making accounts on luxbet to get the deal.
