Havent heard anything, although due to the AFL having such a big say in it, on paper he's the best option but he still remains uncommitted and distant from the role. Neil Craig seems to be doing a good job as a fill in, but I don't know if the AFL will consider him an option.

Looks like the MLB parlay only came out 1/2. Very disappointed in the Cardinals losing that one.

Onto this weeks NRL action.... looks like the bookies havent released the totals yet and im liking a few of the games but we will see what lines they come out with.

West Tigers v Melbourne Storm - The tigers have been impressive winning 3 from their last 4. Im suprised to say the least, with the amount of talent the team has lost (injuries and leaving club) they have done well to get a few wins together. But they are facing a team who is incredibly talented and disciplined, something which the Tigers lack. Gareth widdop is out but we will see the return of veteran Brett Finch, and the Big 3 look to back up from Origin without any injuries. I think the storm will win this, it may be a close affair but they will grind away and make the tigers pay. 3 units x Melbourne Storm -5.5 ($1.80 TAB) - take the line now while its at 5.5 !

Newcastle v Gold Coast - The knight have been poor again this season, The great Bennett hasnt been able to get it right with such a great team on paper. They are shocking away, but now and again they seem to turn up to play when at home. Stats show that Sunday afternoon home games are their best, and guess what? They are playing home this Sunday afternoon. Whilst i cant take anything away from the Gold Coast recent performances i think Newcastle is overdue for a win this week, its not because they havent won for a while but because they have such a talented squad its just a matter of them turning up to play some decent footy. Im taking 1 x unit Newcastle 1-12 ($3.10 TAB)

Warriors v Broncos - The boys from NZ are on a mighty roll and not suprisingly around origin time again, we all know they are a very talented bunch of lads, and that one their day they can beat anybody. They have just beaten 2 of the biggest teams in the roosters and sea eagles and i dont think its going to stop there. Broncos have had an average season, or you could say poor by their usual standards. They have a big pack and wont let this go easy. Im taking the Warriors in a close one, they are on their way to a top 8 finals spot. 1 Unit x Warriors 1-12 ($3.00 TAB)

Very dissapointed in my 3 unit melbourne play, i guess i underestimated the recent form of the tigers, though i still wouldn't tip them, i think they will be a team to stay away from for most of this year.

Warriors 1-2 came in, and Newcastle i knew they would come to play, too bad the Titans didnt and got absolutely blown off the field.

-0.9 unit for the picks, not bad but not good enough, the melbourne play should have hit!! Ohh well next week!!

Thought i would post up a couple more plays since the totals have been released. The weather has worked in our favor with the line, but hopefully it wont affect the game too much.

Rabbitohs vs Raiders - 1unit - over 37.5 ($1.90 sportsbet) - The rabbitohs in their last 3 meetings away from Canberra stadium have put on 121 points on the raiders, and the line has been lowered due to the rain, as i would have expected it to be up around 42.5. Just hope the rain doesn't affect the game too much.

Panthers vs Dragons - 0.5 units under 36.5 ($1.90 sportsbet) - This is sure to be a low scoring game, both teams who have improved in their defenses well panthers have in recent years, both teams have struggled to put on too many points so im going with the under here.

Roosters vs Sea eagles - 0.5 units Sea Eagles 1-12 ($3.40 sportsbet) - The Eagles have a had a few close losses against the some of the top teams, they are still one of the better defensive sides along with the roosters, The Eagles deserve a little more credit here whilst not taking anything away from the Roosters who are looking sure things for a top 4 position. Mitchell Pearce had a shocker in the origin and to be honest attacking wise he isnt in my top 5 list of half backs. They key i think is that James Maloney will not be backing up from origin due to fractured eye socket which he confirmed on yesterdays footy show. I think good value on the Eagles who have been unlucky with some of their losses and and always keep things close.

And Sando we miss you already mate, come back soon hope you have tailed some of our picks on here. Most notably trigga's great form with the WNBA.

FC Shirak Gyumri(Armenia)v SP Tre Penne (San Marino)

FC Shirak is top of the table by 9 points in their league and Tre Penne is currently 3rd. If you look at both leagues there is a huge difference in quality. The San Marino national team is a bunch of amateur/semi professional players and that says something about the quality of their league. This is the first of a 2 leg tie and is being played in Armenia. I think Shirak will come out firing and put the series to bed at home, the champions league is the league of all leagues in Europe, so this is a very important game especially for these lesser known league sides.

NY Liberty VS Phoenix Mercury
Love Phoenix is this position, hard to go past. They have no injuries at the moment, even getting long term injured star Penny Taylor back for this game. NY are struggling with turn overs and putting up competitive numbers. Phoenix are just on fire, and especially at home. I would rate Phoenix a better side than Chicago, who beat NY Liberty by 13 points 2 games ago. This should be another comfortable Phoenix Mercury win.

Minnesota VS LA Sparks
Minnesota are the better team here, and should cover or win this game. Minnesota recently beat these guys at home by a double digit margin. This is the 3rd time these two sides have played this season, the 1st game played in LA, Minnesota had a very uncharacteristic game loosing 87-59. Im pretty confident this wont happen again.

WOW Shirak was up 3-0 after 63 minutes... and their opponents being 3-0 down decided to play 10 men behind the ball, Shirak still created plenty of chances and very unlucky not to score a few more. They missed an open goal in the last minute, i would have been burning if the score was 4-0 when they did. Oh well thats football.

Ill have a look at the games tonight or tomorrow morning. Been flat out at work so i havent had a chance to bludge and look at the games. The line looks great and they are in some hot form. Only concern is Rabbitohs are super hot and are the favourites to win it this year, and the game is being played sunday arvo in perth, which is usually pretty warm and the warriors dont usually like warm afternoon matches. So dont go betting the farm on them.
