exits the pegasus stakes (max sec, kng for a day) with a decent even 3rd.. on the brisnets when you combine pace and speed that was the (or one of the) best 3yo 2 turn races of the year.. of course max security came back to win the haskell.. 2 wins from 3 starts on a wet track and the only time he didn't run well broke last from the rail.. also worthy of mention is last out was his first time around 2 turns
R10 #1 golconda **
#10 mister bobby (half unit)
** 3rd off short layoff 51/27/20.. nice improvement last race and has the looks of a horse who'll like 7/8th's..has put up the best dirt figures in this field.rail has been good over a small sample at 7f although don't know how slop will affect that
in the spirit of trying to find something besides the monster 1 entry (8-5).. find it intriguing that Kelly breen would ship up here from monmouth and throw this one in vs the wolves.. looks like first try up here for him.. jose ortiz rides
R6 #4 shesasuperfreak (30-1)
at a big price maybe can produce her maiden breaking debut up here last year where she won by 10 .. has had some excuses in a few efforts since then.. best jockey she'll have on her back in her brief career.. always like when they name a horse like that
R7 #4 proven strategies (10-1)
not crazy about this field and I like to avoid betting chad brown firsters when possible (no value, too easy) this one cost a decent amount for the pedigree specs (not outrageous though).. got a useful race in at woodbine and now stretches out on the turf for career start #2.. casse not particularly good in the applicable trainer stats but willing to toss that being it's saratoga and feel there's extra incentive to win.. working well, first lasix and he's having an excellent meet so far
R8 #7 frosted grace (10-1)
should appreciate getting back in against n1x.. useful race under his belt at gulfstream
R9 #2 strike power (6-1) a g vanderbilt grade 1
R10 #3 ya primo (8-1) bowling green grade 2 R10 #8 zulu alpha (10-1)
my play with two horses is 50% more on the race divided by 2
R11 #2 tax (8-1) jim dandy grade 2
willing to toss the derby with the sloppy track and post 2..belmont stakes not terrible by any means.. other than that gives it a go every time and very familiar with this distance
R13 #7 hijacker (4-1)
indiana (6:15)
R1 #6 slate (20-1)
R5 #4 fides ratio (10-1)
R6 #3 proud n famous (9-2)
thanks easy.. I need a 70 yard td or two to make it a worthwhile meet

It's early JBEX in the process. Andy Serling was telling about a time where he was getting drilled at the SPA until 2nd to last Sunday. He made some major scores and came out ahead. See what happens.

I have not been having a good meet to start
actually my worst in several years
last year hard to compete with tho , feel like I was winning every day
but it’s early
I’m bombs away today
I’ve used 3 horses in a few races that all are 8-1 / 40-1 lol

patience and luck plays into it.. try to let the longshot plays come to me rather than seeking them out if that makes any sense.. nothing wrong with a $10 horse or even a $6 horse for that matter. I always look at them as balancing out the losses in the short term

thanks kid.. yeah as I said to easy I'm not a high % of moderate price winners type of player and really feel many look at it the same way.. but then you get a couple of price plays that run well but get a bad trip or ride and that's tough to take..sometimes just dead altogether but usually have at least a few thrills along the way.. overall without keeping records saratoga not so good for me but it's always hitting that extra price or two that makes the difference.. bol today

saratoga
R1 #7 brian's first song (4-1)
pletcher firster but like mainly because of the expensive for ped specs angle
R2 # 8 laser loop (7-2)
R5 #7 quality choice (8-1)
R7 #8 shurakaa (10-1)
R7 #9 aymara (8-1)
R8 #4 queenofeverything (6-1)
R10 #6 cap de creus (12-1)
R11 #12 shancelot (3-1)
R12 #3 traci's girl (8-1)
debuter was a $350k yearling.. by elite sire out of a stakes winning mare ($493k) who ran 2nd in a 14 horse field in her debut.. wound up breaking her maiden in start #3 (still 2yo) with a huge equibase figure.. dam sire limehouse is a speed influence another positive.. guessing around 3-2 but looks tough
R6 #4 slam dunk (6-1)
have a hunch they'll be at least a couple of good runners down the road exiting this msw race.. mine $450k yearling by same sire as above (into mischief) and out of a winning grand slam mare (speed, win early).. she has produced 4 winners from as many starters including 1 stakes winner.. jose ortiz 2/3 last 60 days riding for trainer rudolphe brisset.. believe he was a mott assistant whose been on his own less than 2 years (not positive about this).. has worked well but workouts are down on my list as an important handicapping factor.. too obvious and plenty of horses with slow to moderate works win or run well first out
R8 #3 short pour (6-1)
like what she was able to do as a 2yo running on the turf.. traffic trouble in her 3yo debut off a 6 month layoff last out.. think they'll be an improved effort today with that race under her
R10 #2 andi's kitten (6-1)
R10 #7 downstream
del mar
R4 #11 navy queen (12-1) pp8
2yo fts..homebred by a way above avg debut sire and out of a stakes winning mare who has 9 winners from as many starters.. 3 of 4 that ran as a 2 yo's won.. trainer only 1/16 as a debut trainer but that horse paid around $35..7 lb winless bug rides but that will only enhance the price and have to think this might not require the most tactical ride... get out and go

R1(now @ 1 1/8) and R5 off the turf
dirt good/turf good
