#107Love these hockey systems, great job. Apologize if this has already been answered but what do you do on days like tomorrow when there are only 3 games? Is there a daily limit to games on the board for these systems to be "all systems go!"? Appreciate the response.Comment -

I feel like it could be argued that the systems are affected by a short slate.
What do you think the minimum game requirements should be, if you feel that way...?
But then again, If you think about each system as its own independent system, instead of one part of three, then all of the systems would still function on a short schedule day. right?
If you play System 1 (my current personal favorite), then you would just play the one game that fits.
System 2, you'll play the biggest + number. 3, same deal.
I kinda like that second idea. Ill probably just continue to track the system every day. And after enough short days, we'll start to notice trends there as well.Comment -

#112in those short days, couldn't you have 1 team that fits S1 and S2? that could throw a kink as well... i mean it may be highly unlikely, but let's say Detroit/Pitt and Anaheim/Ottawa were the only games today... Detroit was at +130 and Anaheim was a dog at -105... So technically the Wings would have been a play for S1 and S2, correct? Like I said, it may be unlikely but it's something to watch for...Comment -

#114But for tomorrow, all three games would fit different systems.
Currently S1 would be Wild.
S2 would be Leafs.
S3 would be CBJ against Florida.Comment -

#116I think I changed my mind. I will not be playing any games on the slate for today. The object is to win, not blindly bet games for the hell of it.
Sure, these all fit the system but the quality of the teams that fit the system are not that great. it is a forced play. NO PLAY for Wednesday with a 3 game slate.
I think that 5 should be the minimum.
Good luck playing african handball today. there are some really good games.Comment -

#117I agree with this approach, I was thinking you needed at least 5 games on the slate as well, to make the system work properly. No need to force plays as you said. It is a good idea to track them outside this thread just to see how the system does work on these small slates.Comment -

#119Looks like the lines are moving....are you playing the systems with opening lines? I got Anaheim-105 as S3 and Tampa Bay+105 as S1. Thanks and awesome thread! Keep up the good workComment -

#120i think that the opening lines are the way to go. You are gonna lose a lot of the better, more talented teams that may have a tendency to move toward favoritism as the day progresses.
I am back for the plays today! .

I like Anaheim also but have not bet them yet.
As for Detroit, I think the odds are trappy. Blues are generally strong at home and will be up for it tonight.Comment -

#126Lack of focus to almost blow a game when you are up 3-0 on a team that's not explosive offensively but at least they got the job done. S1 is awesome. People would be making good money just flat betting that thing, let alone chasing or using a labby or something. No offense i think all 3 systems are intriguing but i think I'm going to say the hell with S2 and S3 and just focus on betting bigger on S1 and hope the train keeps rolling. If the objective is to make money then bet the hell outta the things that work well and forget the ones that aren't doing as well. Proper money management and getting the best line is still key but say for instance i had been betting $100 each on all 3 systems for a total of $300 each day, i would rather just bet the $300 all on S1 because it is performing in the clutch.Comment -

**also, I LOVE points.
S2 was just "to see" what would happen, and it clearly is useless... but I think youre getting rid of S3 too early. I dont see why 3 would fail if 1 is this successful.Comment -

Earlier I suggested that a minimum of 5 games would be best. But it totally depends on the game, too.
When there were only three games, and all just not that great, I passed.
But when we have a setup like that... Dallas @ Calgary, it is just a definite play. thoughts?Comment -
