McGehee. G.Jones, Smoak, T.Moore, Alonso? I know terrible options.
Tough decision. I'll roll with Jones IMO

I'm just glad Garrett Jones is no longer playing for Pittsburgh!

He seems to be very injury prone. Or am I thinking of someone else?

Votto's MRI showed no structural damage, but a quad muscle strain.

I think hes on his way to the DL.

The Reds are going to take it easy with him. Remember his left knee has been surgically repaired twice already.

I was trying to trade him away before this, now I have to hold on to him

Somebody else? He just missed the season with his knee injury. Then a few years prior had family problems/stress and was away for a while.

I'm sure other teams do it too, but Reds play short too often with injuries. Especially with this injury Votto should be on the DL. If it has bothered him for 2 weeks then the rest would be better on the DL than not playing. We'll see.

When he comes back. Which I feel he will sometime in the near future.

His Batting Average will increase, but his power numbers??? Who knows!

Well the Stephen Drew saga is over for the time being. He re-signed with the Red Sox today for the rest of the year.

Drew will make $10.2 million, almost $4 million less than he would have made had he accepted Boston's original offer.

I have no interest in Drew, I haven't even checked his owned % or his availability because I don't want him on my teams.

Call me crazy, but I seriously think that Tulo has a great shot at winning the Triple Crown this year.

He has a comfortable lead in BA, leads in HR's by one and is 8 RBI's behind Stanton (Miami) as of today.

Of course, the fact that he plays his home games at Coors plays into his favor...

Me, too. He's running away with the batting title. HR's and RBI's will be his biggest challenge...

An interesting fact that kinda shocked me...

There hasn't been a National League Triple Crown Winner since 1937 (Joe Medwick - St. Louis Cardinals)

Tulo is having a great year, I don't think he can pull off the triple crown but he surely is a strong contender for MVP if he continues at this pace.

Nice to see Charlie Morton finally get his first win of the season!

The guy is 1-6 but has a very respectable 3.29 ERA. Lack of run support, ya think?

He is on the DL with quad/knee trouble, they backdated him on the DL list so he could be back in a week or so (personally I think he may be out a couple more weeks).

Yordano Ventura left Monday's start against the Astros in the third inning with an apparent injury.

Ventura's fastball hit just 91 mph against his final batter with two outs in the inning, so it could be some sort of arm injury. The young righty was touched up for five runs on seven hits and three walks before exiting. The Royals should provide an update on Ventura shortly. Cross your fingers.

If Ventura's injury is serious enough for Tommy John, then 7 of the 9 hardest throwing starting pitchers will have that surgery. The lucky two, Gerrit Cole and Garrett Richards are on the list. I don't recall my source.
