I know Clark is seen as the superior wrestler but he shown pretty poorly in clinch exchanges in the fights I have seen (consistently losing underhooks to Collier and Jan, and being taken down by Jan). Also, Clark will have to expend a ton of energy getting into grappling range against the very long Rod, and will be susceptible to being countered on the way in. If Rod has marginally improved his technique in the clinch, I don't see a pathway by which Clark consistently wins.

Why? There are still great fights and Rose/JJ will be epic... In fact, all the fights on the main card are great. And Zabit is a badass FW prospect. Karolina/Herrig are 2 hot chicks fighting and both great fighters. And for me personally, Lauzon has always been one of my favorite fighters... But I see where you're coming from. I'm frustrated too.
They should really do Khabib/Ragin Al for the title and Pettis/Felder. Seems like a no brainer.Comment -

Pettis is an idiot. He probably would have lost to Chiesa anyway. He had a rare opportunity to skip over the whole division and get a title shot. One that he most likely will never get again. No idea why he wouldn't agree to a 3 rounder with Khabib. He either catches Khabib in the early rounds or gets finished early. And it's not like a loss to Khabib on one days notice would impact his career any. Hell, he had no injuries this camp and was healthy. He could have said screw it and went in there and at least put on a show and show everybody he still lives up to Showtime and hes still a warrior. Either way he could have gotten lucky but chose to whine about money. Doesn't he still get paid pretty well anyway? Imo he'll regret this eventually.
Pretty upset about Pettis not stepping up for the fans. Although I hear Al might still get the chance. Would be pretty cool to see the pride of Long Island step up. Like Ariel said, the lone NYer on the card stepping up to save the day. Don't see the harm in this.Comment -
