8.22.12: Athletics Team Total Over 4 [-125]
Oakland gets a crack at Liam Hendriks. Hendriks has made nine starts this season with eight of them seeing the opponent score at least four by game's end. On the road, all four of his starts have seen at least four runs from the opponent. Oakland has scored four or better in four of five on the current home stand. Minnesota has given up at least four in seven of their last ten.

#496Cardinals Team Total Over 4.5 [-115]
Bud Norris for Houston. Although Bud has been a Cardinal Killer in his career, his terrible road form warrants this. In hjs last four road starts, the opposition has tallied 34 runs. In all, five of his last six have seen the opponent net five runs or more. STL has been a bit hot & cold offensivley, but they have bashed the Astros for five or more in four of seveb this year & Houston still leaks euns on the road .... 7 of the last 10 where they have given up at least six.Comment -

#497This is a nice bet EP, and for some reason i just can't shake off the Cards over 4.5 runs tonight - will mull it over a little longer.
Norris' last 6 starts have seen the opposition score over 4.5 in 5 of them, and STL have gone over 4.5 in 2 of their last 3. Hmmmm....Comment -

8.23.12: Rays Team Total Over 4 [-130]
Red hot Tampa gets Tyson Ross of Oakland. His road ERA is a whopping 7.60. In seven road starts, the opposition has only failed to get four runs or more twice. Tampa slammed him for seven runs in early May in just 3.1 IP. Nine of his 12 starts overall have seen the opposition score at least four. The Rays have scored four or more in seven of their last ten.Comment -

#5048.24.12: Yankees Team Total Over 5.5 [-135]
High total, but given the competition + Sabathia on the mound for NYY it is a go. Kluber for the Tribe. He has four starts to his credit and the opposition has scored a minimum of seven runs in each start. That's part Kluber and part bullpen that has been ravaged for a 6.99 ERA over their last ten. If you believe in such things, Sabathia has been riding high with run support. The Yankees have scored six or more in nine of his last eleven starts overall. That exact number rings true in all his road starts for the season as well.Comment -

#508Giants Team Total Over 3.5 [+100]
Always a bit hesitant with the Giants @ home for scoring runs, but I think Ben Sheets is hitting a little bit of a wall. Sheets surrendered four runs or more in three of his last four starts. SF has scored four or more in seven of their last ten overall and in five of their last seven @ home. Braves have given up four or more in five of six.Comment -

#5138.25.12: Cardinals Team Total Over 4 [-135]
Cardinals have found their hitting stroke again with four or more in seven of their last ten and four straight. Mike Leake goes for Cincy. At home, Leake sports a lofty 5.40 ERA. He has seen the opposition score at least four in six of his last eight starts @ home. He's pitched well twice against STL, giving up five total runs in two starts - but he's coming off a poor performance where he gave up seven earned to the Phillies. Reds have given up at least four in seven of their last ten overall.Comment -

#514Indians Team Total Under 3.5 [-125]
The magical Huroki Kuroda going for the Yankees. He's been an under-appreciated pitcher this year. In his last seven starts, the opposition has not scored more than three runs and that goes for 12 of his last 16 overall. Cleveland has not scored more than three runs in five straight games overall. Kuroda limited the Tribe to one run over 7+ innings in a June start @ Yankee Stadium.Comment -

8.26.12: Mets Team Total Under 4 [+100]
Them Mets have failed to score four runs in eight straight and only scored more than four in five of their last 23 games overall. Lucas Harrell goes for Houston. He was bombed by STL for six runs in his last start, but had gone nine of his previous ten with allowing two runs or less. A quality start is what is needed to keep the leaky Houston bullpen out of the picture as long as possible. If Harrell can given them 6-7 quality innings, this should have a legit shot.

#518Pirates Team Total Over 4 [-115]
Mark Rogers goes for Milwaukee. He hasn't pitched overly poorly, but between himself + the bullpen, opponents have scored at least four runs in five straight starts. Rogers is having trouble going more than 5-6, which means several innings against that pen which sports a 4.73 ERA overall, but has been a bit better lately. Pittsburgh has tallied at least four runs in three of their last four and six of their last ten. That includes both games of this series. They have only failed to score four in two of the eight meetings between the two teams this season.Comment -

#519Padres Team Total Over 4 [-115]
Padres are hot, scoring four or more in six of their last seven overall. Cahill goes for the D-backs. At home, he is sporting a 5.40 ERA. Only two of his 12 home starts have seen the opposition score less than four runs. He has faced San Diego three times, dominating them twice @ PETCO, but giving up four runs/two earned at home.Comment -

8.27.12: Brewers Team Total Over 4 [-125]
Milwaukee is in Chicago and gets another crack at Justin Germano who they lit up for seven runs last time he started in Milwaukee. His home starts have been better for the Cubs, but still all in all - four of his five starts have seen the opposition get at least four runs. A lot of that is due to a poor bullpen. Chicago's pen has a 4.52 ERA, although they are about a half run better at home.Comment -

#521Dodgers Team Total Over 5.5 (-130)
Big total, but in Colorado a good shot. Jeff Francis for the Rockies. In five of his last six overall and four straight starts at home, the opposition has put up at least a six spot. In 12 of Colorado's last 16 @ Coors Field, the same is true.Comment -
