day #1 of playoffs was great for me. only lost small on reds +1.5. hit rangers, rangers tt over and yanks -1.

I went 5-15 total in the first three weeks on NFL betting I'm not gonna lie. Every year....in every sport....I usually flounder the first quarter of the season....because once again....the knowledge and information needed to make sound bets on just aren't there yet. Hell I even admitted it on my week 5 NFL plays post. And it's my fault....I usually tell myself NEVER or VERY RARELY make bets in MLB, NFL, NBA or NHL the first 5 weeks into the season because anything is possible as teams jockey for "power positions".

But in week 4 NFL and NCAA week 5 football I went 10-1 combined (Saints play screwed me over). And I'm only gonna continue to get more and more solid as I use sound judgement and pick and choose wisely like I plan to.

You are a square and you won't be able to beat books long term. I was a square once, sometimes I did great then I started losing and learned a lot of stuff that helped me get back on track.

you don't have much more information than the books. i watch film to try and learn more about a game I want to bet a lot of money on. but consider the other side also, STATS especially will only take you so far.

NY guy you have been in my threads for ages . IF you dont like my style of playing i understand but im not gonna change what is working. Are you wondering when im gonna start losing in sports? It might be a long time. My first baseball bet was on the Reds to sweep the A;s in 1990 as huge underdogs. I cashed 2k on that one for a 200 bet with my uncles bookie.

Nice day for me as well after a rough start. Went 3-1, lost on the Rays. Able to come up 200 in the end. Made a Phillies/Giants series parlay today for 2 units also- so it's a good feeling to have $230 pending on casino money!

I combined LB's and Paco's picks tonight to make a Philly/Yanks parlay- so thanks is due to them both. Congrats to everyone who cashed

Not really . I never played them it was a hunch. They needed to win this game to have a chance.

Hmmm I never really doubted the yanks specially on game 1, but when I saw you and paco liking twins in the series I was feeling I'll just take game 1 and follow you guys on twins series..

I think books are trying hard to disguise SF win tomorrow. They arent moving the line much with more action on SF. I dont wanna bet much on this series because of my series bet on SF so im gonna keep an eye on the RL movement. Giants really looked good the last month and it would be hard not to unload on Timmy . He has been solid for the last 6 starts. Lowe has beaten cupcake teams in his good run to close off the season. I see that everyone is abandoning the Rays already. They still have a good team and Shields is a good pitcher when he is on and at home.

yeah but he beat texas and only allowed 1er in 7ip on aug 18th. also cj wilson isnt very good on the road. i know you are locked into texas mentally for all the right reasons but tb is a good baseball team who lost to a lights out playoff pitcher today.

I also see the public is pretty split on Tb game so far. Usually public will go to the team that lost game 1 for the bounce back. I think i might take TB tomorrow. Lets not forget they had Lee on the ropes in the first inning today and he got out of it or it could have been a win. TB is far from done.

C) You got a bad number.. hope u beat your 8.. a 7 would have been nice.. Have a feeling u loose on a backdoor cover..
d) really you got 8.5? it's 8 everywhere. So no matter what this is a bad bet my friend. to be honest I think this game lands on a 8 .. I think tampa hands Texas it's ass tomorrow. 5-1 or 5-2
E) I think you push here. to be honest i don't think baltimore is a td better then a lot of teams right now at least u got a good number here.. =)
F) u did so so here with your 42.5 u should have gotten 42.. this is a very square play this weekend because detroit can score on pretty much anyone.. this total will bury a ton of people this weekend. u hear it here first

G) Green bay is a huge trap.. this team has not impressed me at all this year.. they have looked lost on the road so far.. i think the defense matches up very well . -3 opened up at + money everywhere.. the -3 line alone should have been enough to get joe public on this game early.. but +money? really? talk about fire sale on GB. SKins +3 is the play here.
H) if you thought GB was the trap of the weekend.. the real one is Atlanta -3. hands down the biggest trap on the board brother.. at least buy a -2.5 man.. i mean shit the whole world is on this game and its +107 at pinny!!
I) this would appear to be your only sharp play.. however.. the line is 6 everywhere it was 6.5 at a few places for a min.. but its 6.. so you mean to tell me you bought a whole point to play the raiders? even if they win ...fail!!
