Sorry I was away from the computer for a few days. Thanks for the advice, I've started recording the stats for teams and taking note of when you play certain teams and why.

Here is what I tell everyone when they are new to wagering baseball:
record every stat from mlb.com for everygame all season
start to look at what the winning and losing teams are/aren't doing
at some point, it will click for you if you keep looking at the data
once that has been accomplished, it's then time to look at some finer points of the games. things like pitcher/batter match-ups, success rate in day/night games for batters and tossers, the same with home and away games.
yes, it takes time to record the data but the more you have, the better analysis you will be able to make. probably, not what you wanted to hear but there is no sense in just putting money on a game for no reason other than to just have action on it.
i'm rather surprised nobody responded to this earlier but it's fine. remember, their aren't any 'dumb' questions, except the one(s) that aren't asked. looking forward to your next post later today.
I guess the hardest part for me is that in say the NBA I rarely bet the money line, and almost always take the point spread, but seems like no one does this in baseball really. In basketball for example I have a good grasp not only on who the better team is, but how much better they are points-wise. Evaluating these baseball stats seems more difficult because I can tell who the better team is, but the tricky part I guess for me is seeing the real value in certain money lines. But I do appreciate the advice and if I have questions I'll ask.Comment -
