I was looking at the Rangers tonight. CWS is a complete mess offensively and Texas has been hot. However, you can't just ignore the fact that Sale is going for the White Sox. He's got a road WHIP of 0.97, and CWS is 3-1 overall in his road starts.
Also, Martinez is a different guy at home. 1.37 WHIP @ home, Rangers 3-2 overall in his home starts. Compare that to his road performance. 1.14 WHIP on the road, Rangers 5-0 in his away starts.
As much as I do love the Rangers right now, this one is a no play for me. I would take Sale, but CWS way too expensive right now @ -139.
Right now I'm on 2 separate chases with the Tigers and the Twins. Played em both last night, both losses. I'm committed to playing both of em out. Twins got a double header today and it looks like they're about to drop the first one.Comment -

Looks like my big 5 unit play on Detroit is in jeopardy.
Tomorrow they start a 3 game road series against CWS. I intend on continuing the chase through this series. I don't see CWS sweeping. If this one loses today, I'll be down almost 9 units on this chase. So I'll have to play to win 10 units tomorrow. I just hope to god the chalk isn't crazy high.Comment -

I can't keep doing this.. I should have bailed after 3 games. I'm a couple hundred bucks away from having half of my baseball bankroll gone. I am not about to lay over -150 on a Tigers ML in early June to try and win $900. If it loses I'll then be down almost $2400 on this chase. I'm not a rich man like that. I bet $50 units. That being said I'm sure it'll hit now that I'm bailing on it. I might play the -1.5 since they are on the road. I want my guaranteed 9 innings of at bats. God knows I've lost on enough home teams on the runline this season to remember why I never used to play those in the first place.
Just bad bad bad decision making so far. I deserve to be down way more than I actually am.
I'll try getting back to making smart bets and playing low volume. If I can't make money on baseball I definitely will not make money on football. Super pissed off about this not just because of the money.. I just know better than to make these dumb ass plays..Comment -
