Based on your capping, how do you feel about the Cardinals? Is this one of those chalk it up as a lose, or one of those it aint over till its over type of situations?

NONE of these games are over till theyre over. ESPECIALLY with a team with a horrendous bullpen like the cubs

You think the Cards can still win? I think Cards are done. Shoulda known something was up with the total at 6.5 with both teams hitting around .300 lifetime vs the opposing pitcher

I can't say whether the cards will win or not. I can only say that baseball is 9 innings and I've seen games do a 180 very very late

Just got in front of the computer. The Cards won't pull this out, but what a fluke 1st inning that was. The rest of the game made sense, but 4 extra base hits in a row? WTF?

Also, the Royals bullpen can kiss my ass.

Yea, and Herrera can take his 5.04 ERA with him to the ass kissing ceremony. I cannot imagine what it is like to get weekly checks of 10-100K or more in order to blow saves nearly every time you pitch. I would feel very shitty.

I like Dodgers in game 1 for a small play...

Kuroda gets no run support and it's about time the Dodgers really stopped the bleeding. They will have a "positive chip" on their shoulder with Mattingly returning to NY today...

Neither of these pitchers could be considered a slouch but I think Ryu will have a pretty damned good outing today being on a full weeks rest.

Both teams are banged up, but I see the bigger holes in the Yanks lineup... I like the plus money for the Dodgers in a likely low scoring game 1 for today...

I see you avoided both of them. I actually like the Yanks later on tonight... What were your thoughts on this double-header?

Also, LOVE the Marlins play but I'm not sure I can chase (trust) the Braves!!!

Thanks for bringing the double header to my attention. When I finished capping the first game the line wasn't out in my book yet and I forgot to go back and check on it. I like the Dodgers too, and for all the reasons you stated. I'm adding it to my list of plays.

I'm laying off the second game. I've got a ton of work to do this afternoon and won't be able to properly cap it after game 1 ends.

Morneau is 11 for 35 with three homers and 10 walks off Danks, who is 0-3 with a 5.14 ERA over his last four starts against the Twins. He's 1-4 with a 6.05 ERA in his past nine in Minnesota.

Not at all. He hasn't started against the Twins since 2011. A lot of things have changed since then.

I don't believe in teams being due. Danks and Diamond are pretty much equal in my opinion, I just think Danks is the hotter pitcher at the moment and should be able to pick them up despite their offensive struggles. He has allowed less than a baserunner per inning which usually points to bad luck when you have an ERA of 4.5 and you're 1-3. I think this game will be close and the under 8 might even be a good play. In this scenario, I'm going with the dog.

BOL Today Plut!!!

I did some work on that Wht Sox/Twinsies matchup and had to go with the Twins... Not just popping in here now and saying that since they're up...just sayin it because I liked the Wht Sox yesterday but they can't seem to get the job done right now. Also played the Pirates in the early spot. We'll see what happens there!

I like the Yanks tonight. A few of your plays I like but the chalk has me nervous... Down big so far this week and that doesn't mean I start getting all conservative, cause good plays are good plays but I can't afford to take anymore hits with heavy favs as I have earlier this week. Cough, fukkin Braves, cough...

I think tonight we begin to slide back towards the black!!
