The Philadelphia 76ers clash with the New York Knicks on Saturday evening in Game 1 of their first-round series, as we offer our best 76ers vs. Knicks player props based on the best NBA odds.

After defeating the Miami Heat in the NBA Play-In Tournament, the No. 7 seed Philadelphia 76ers (47-35) advance to face the No. 2 seed New York Knicks (50-32) in the first round of the NBA playoffs at Madison Square Garden. Game 1 is set for 6 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Despite being 2.5-point favorites across our best sports betting sites for Game 1, the Knicks remain underdogs in the latest NBA championship odds. In contrast, Philadelphia is among the favorites, pending the health of Joel Embiid (knee), who is expected to play Saturday.

76ers vs. Knicks prop bet predictions for Saturday

Tyrese Maxey Under 21.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

While all eyes are in Embiid in this series, Maxey is perhaps the 76ers' most dangerous offensive weapon on a nightly basis. And with that comes added attention defensively.

The Knicks turned their season around after acquiring OG Anunoby, a 6-foot-7 defensive stopper who is sure to draw Maxey as his primary assignment for large stretches on Saturday. He limited the young guard to 12 points on 45.5% shooting in 83 possessions as a primary defender this year, and Maxey scored just 17 points when these teams last met on March 12.

While Maxey's total is dealing as high as 22.5 across our best sportsbooks, these +102 odds for Under 21.5 are the best on the board and would pay out $20.20 on a $10 wager.

Jalen Brunson Over 7.5 assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Sixers don't have a singular defensive stopper on their roster to halt the Knicks' top scorer, so expect them to throw length at the dimunuitive guard to slow him down as a scorer.

Brunson is good enough to beat any of the 76ers' top defenders one-on-one, and I don't expect head coach Nick Nurse to let that happen. Instead, I like Brunson's chances of dicing up Philly's defense as a playmaker after netting eight or more assists in each of these teams' last three matchups.

Brunson's consensus assists total is 6.5, but these +125 odds for him to extend that streak would turn a $10 bet into a $22.50 return. I like his chances of hitting that mark once again.

OG Anunoby Over 1.5 steals ⭐⭐⭐

Elite perimeter defense is about more than just forcing turnovers. Anunoby still excels at that, too, ranking 15th in steals per game (1.4) among those with at least 50 games played.

He picked up two steals in each of his final two starts and has finished with multiple steals in nine of his last 15 games, averaging 2.1 steals over that stretch. I'd expect him to be active as an on-ball defender and in passing lanes on Saturday as he tries to limit Maxey from taking over in Game 1.
