God damn man, unreal. Had her +4.5 (w), over 9.5 games (nasty beat- L), and ML (L). Lol, that was something else. I've never lost a set with a player that was up 5-0 in it.

She beat Pliskova 6-4, 6-2 in this tournament. Keep in mind Pliskova beat both Williams sisters a couple of weeks ago. So she can beat the girl who beat the best player in the world in what has to be the most important tournament to the best player in the world (US Open) but she can't get by a wild card whose 18 years old and not in the top 50. Sometimes this shit doesn't make any sense.

I've never seen that either. Usually when a player has won the 1st set and then gets behind by a couple breaks in the 2nd, they almost always give up and conserve energy for the 3rd set.

Osaka was playing in her home country so she probably had pressure from the fans to not quit and concede that 2nd set.

Tennis is fickle. The games leading up to 5-0 were close and could have went either way.
