Yeah, I found mistake in my excel, but strangely enough your score is also faulty.

    brodie 465
    honeybadger 200

all because of Isner as he was seeded and lost first match so minus 30 points.
You took only -15, and my excel screwed me and didn't take anything.

Winston-Salem starts SUNDAY kids. At least this one makes sense since it is leading up to the kickoff of the US Open.

Deadline is SUNDAY at 2:00pm ET to get your entries in.

This week, it's just six players. Three seeds/three non-seeds.

If you have not turned in your lineup for Winston-Salem, you can still do so. There will be a firm deadline on Monday for the 1st match of the day to have the lineups in, but you can still enter this week if you missed today's deadline.

Of course make sure you do not include any players who are playing today.

Pretty sure I did. He had four wins + one loss. Two straight set wins. So that's 60 for the straights + 40 for the two non-straights. 40 bonus for making the Final. That is 140 minus 20 for the loss = 120 pts.

For once, I believe I am correct

Also unless the majority don't want it, US Open will be included as the Final tourney for this.

oh my, truth it is....huge mistake by taking away Benneteau from your squad early.

Your scoring is correct. Mine was not. Will check overall scoring later today.

And I don't know about U.S. Open adding to this...Maybe we can make it a seperate tourn with new bye-ins.

But if majority says so we can add it.

Sweet. Good catch. Will add up the totals for the season. Since I did not hear anyone say no to including the US Open. It will be the final stop for this event. Will probably tinker with scoring seeing as the field will be twice what we saw in any event. Probably just flat doubling all pts. So 40 for a W, 60 for straights, etc. Let me know if anyone has objections to that.

maybe better get with more players....let's say 5 seeds and 5 un-seeds....

    or even a better idea...

8 players and divide them into 4 sections

    high-seeds (top4) >> for a W/SW 20/30p
    seeds(5-32) >> for a W/SW 30/60p
    unseeded >> 40/90
    qualifiers >> 50/120

and let's say you have to pick at least one Q (but can pick more)

why would you double how much a win is worth? I think it should be the same for each win/straight sets win as what we've been doing.

Was just thinking bigger tournament, best of fives should earn more IMO for winning 3-0 or take my an extra set to win vs the best of 3 format.

I really don't want to get too complicated, but I thought that made sense and a bigger bonus for getting a guy in the final. Maybe a slightly larger roster of 10 or 12.

true, winning 3-0 is harder than winning 2-0, so straight sets could be worth more

but I think just for winning a round, that should be the same value.

Well I think either both or neither. Winning a Slam match is infinitely harder because of having to get the extra set IMO, so 40 for a win seems fair and 60 for straights. But it's whatever everyone wants, not just me.

someone has to win. it can't be infinitely harder

3-0 is harder than 2-0, but if a guy is 65% to beat someone best of 3, he's going to be about the same in a best of 5 (assuming surface and conditions are the same, of course).

Making it best of 5 just makes it more difficult to win in straights, since it's a 3 set parlay rather than a 2 set parlay.

Nadal at Roland Garros has been more dominant than Nadal on clay in general, for example, even though he has to win best of 5s rather than best of 3s.
