I experienced a new all time low at BetOnline tonight!

So I'm looking at the props and the over 4 sacks -105 catches my eye! I go to play it, the line changes to over 4.5 -125! I hit submit by mistake. So I hit refresh lines. The line comes back up 4 over-105. I'm like WTF??? So I log out, back in and line is still 4 over -105.

I call CS and they don't understand what I'm trying to tell them. They send me to wagering...they don't have a clue either!

So I call CS again, and after a few minutes of trying to explain the problem, they investigate! They say that the lines do not refresh and the new line will appear when I go to submit my wager!

I'm like WTF????? Your website doesn't refresh updated lines??? UNREAL !!!!!!

They said they will be working on it!

These things should not be happening at any legit offshore book!!!!!

This happens a lot with their software when lines change.

No wrong doing by them here since the line changes always reflect the market moves just that their software sucks.

They recently switched to cloning CRIS/Bookmaker lines which makes them much less useful of a sportsbook.

glad i do not play at betonline - how much do you think can be made with this bait and switch - this has got to be the worst line change or no line change (depending on which side of the bet you want) that i have ever heard of. everyone should take thier money out as soon as possible. and then not cancelling the bet and acting like they do not know what he is talking about is unbelievible

This happened to me with Romo on the passing prop. Juice changed for the worst and I lost five yards...Truth be told tho, this is one of the first times this has happened to me @ BO...Usually it changes to my ad and they let me know that it has been changed in my favor, which I find comforting.

I swear B Phoenix always lets your bet got through if line changed to your ad and vice versa. Shady.

because you can still bet the under at four - the over changes to 4.5 when you bet over 4 - and they know it -it's more of how many they trick into the over 4.5 not how many make the mistake of betting over 4.5

i dont think they are crooks. i just think they have really really really bad software with lots of issues. they did cancel a wager for me i placed saturday. placed the wager accidently when they got rid of their 2 clicks for confirmation of wager. took about 10 minutes to be cancelled.

I did read this very clearly

1) you selected over 4 -105, but the line changed to 4.5 -125.

2) you did not pay attention and confirmed the wager (easy to do because they changed their verification process to 1 step instead of the old 2 step process on saturday.)

3) As has been the case for several months after a line change notice you go back to the lines and it has not changed. I have verified that this is a software glitch by observing line movements at all other book and the updated line always reflects the current market price what you are seeing on the lines page is a software glitch where the line is not updating but you are warned at the bet confirmation page of the updated line.


4) If you bet the under 4 and the wager was accepted than take a screen shot of both wagers and the confirmation time and allow the book to handle your dispute before you start bashing them.

By the way not a good idea to bet the under here, why would you allow the book to not only hit you for juice but also give them an opportunity to middle you?

Certain markets don't display the proper line. That o4 -105 was the price this morning, it changed many times during the day, but their page never updates properly. sbrodds will show the right lines bet bol is stuck in the past.

oh and when you tell them they act like they've never heard of such a problem.

Over 4 was -130 at 5dimes at 6:00 I am sure this is why the OP found the line intriguing. If so he should have been prepared for a line change.

First of all, I did not like the under.

I had to submit the bet on the under to prove my theory!

I'm gonna lose 2 bucks on the juice and yes, I could lose 23 if it lands on 4 exactly!

I tried to get the bets canceled after I proved that the "software" is ripping people off, but they still refuse to cancel the plays, hence bashing them is justified!

If I was trying to take advantage of the line, I would have played a lot more than $20!

i try it on different computers with different browsers, ips, cookies, etc. There is no place in the world where their stupid website works.

K. I thought the only silver lining with Romo's injury is that I won my prop bet, which had him going under 283 yards, which I wrote about above...Well it is nowhere to be seen in my plays.

Amazing, a broken software. Just the most important thing that a book needs to get right...they like it that way prolly, as the OP said: shot taking. Could it be more obvious with "reducing the confirmation to 1 step"`?

BOL doesn't scam anyone; they have terrible software. They traded user friendly software that worked great; for user unfriendly software that completely sucks at times. Alex has done what he could to keep people staying loyal; but it appears the people above him are just really stupid. It's hard to stay loyal to a company that puts up a yield sign and blocks bets with a minute or 2 before kickoff. I had that in Giants Phillies game 5 playoff game and got shut out. Thanx to Alex for trying like hell; no thanx to BOL's upper management for buying junk software and then sticking with it

BOL obviously hurt their bottom line during the adjustment period to the new software. Their pain was self-inflicted. I know that Alex felt like killing the tech guys back in September. But things have much improved since. In my opinion this software is not bad but 'ambitious'. Once the bugs are worked out, it may turn out to be sharper than anything out there. I'm not shilling for the book. I just think that those who try new things or try to raise the bar, in any field, deserve some credit. Every once in a while give someone a break. We already know they're not happy about the period it took to adjust to the new software. Why keep rubbing it in? Why not bring their attention to remaining bugs in a kinder way? If a books steals or lies, that's a different matter. But these are just tech problems, that are (slowly) being resolved. They have nothing to do with integrity. (Have you ever worked with tech guys? lol) In the meantime, the feedback posted here is very useful to avoid running into problems. SBR odds shows the correct lines. Problem solved.
