Blocked from accessing 5Dimes from the UK today...

    Edit by SBR:

    Hi guys,

5Dimes can no longer accept wagers or registrations from UK based IPs. This is a business decision due to international compliance that has also caused other online sportsbooks to exit this market. If you have any questions on how to proceed with your 5Dimes Group account, please e-mail 5Dimes at info@5dimes.eu.

Tried to deposit with them yesterday and it didn't work, for what ever reason. Thank penetrate for that.

I didn't have much faith in American books before. Less now.

It seems like you may have been spamming them or perhaps have a virus on your comp because its a DDOS automatic protection thing. SBR has locked me up a few times with this software as well. Basically it just helps keep the site from getting overrun with hits all at one time if i understand it correctly. I know online gamers hate DDOS attacks because we can't enjoy our slaying of monsters for the evening and I would assume books get targeted like this from time to time as well.

Interesting... I did have a live chat with them yesterday. What virus software do you use Ra77er? I have Avast, but maybe it's not strong enough.

Avast is awesome for a small scope of viruses and the best part it's free/lightweight on your computer etc but these kids today are so friggin smart that they can toss malicious programs onto ads, a website that you visit, basically freaking anything and it can do terrible things without you even knowing about it....meaning avast and others will not even detect it.

It is frustrating as hell but it is how you orchestrate a DDOS attack is just legit users log into a website or whatever and the program will pound the servers and you have no idea that you are part of the problem.

This is the best part of owning a MAC as it is much more secure for the regular user like me who does not necessarily know how to make sure my comp is always locked up tight. The bad part of a MAC is it doesn't always play well with others and the interface is not always easy to use like a windows pc.

Anyway I believe Booyah is a computer guy that may be able to give much better advice if he sees this thread as far as internet security etc.

Re the virus, I do visit a lot of dodgy sites tbf (mostly to do with sports betting: rumour mills/ fantasy sites for injury updates etc). Maybe I should do all that stuff on one computer and keep the other one clean

Well this is not a new law....it was 2014 and yet UK players still played there until this year? Your article is a little misleading saying it is a "new" law. Why the shift from 5Dimes now, I'm guessing there was a grace period or 5Dimes wanted to keep rolling the dice? Why not pull out like pinny did in Sept last year? I apologize for my comments thinking it was standard DDOS software protection.

    Hi Ra77er,

Thank you for the feedback on thinking the context was misleading. The recent law has been in effect for less than a year, so we thought our reference was appropriate, but will make it clearer. Thanks sir.

These effects of so called increased UK regulation would be easier for players to take if the UK regulator seemed like they gave a flying fig about players concerns.

Disappointing they appear to have dropped back into their ignore most player contact mode again

Why would they worry about withdrawing to the UK? If you have a UK account then they should want you to withdraw your funds (somehow!)
