    RajahBet.com - Scam!

I verified my account with this sportsbook, made a deposit of £100, and made a total balance of approximately £1,000.
I made a withdrawal for £114.52 and received within 2-3 days.

Then later I played a bit more and made a withdrawal request for £794 on the 3rd of July and the website told me it would be processed quickly, then it said it would be processed up to 7 working days, then afterwards it says it takes longer time because it depends on 3rd party and today I get this email:

I would like to inform you that withdrawal is being cancelled due to your account being under investigation. It appears you has recieved funds in error.

I apologise you for any inconvenience. I will contact with you as soon as possible.

Many thanks for playing at Rajah Bet. If you need any further help please feel free to contact me again via email.

    Best regards

    Rajah Bet Support

    Completely ridiculous!

What am I supposed to do now? I am not going to bother with filing a complaint as I am doing so myself with the Malta LGA, but I am just using this thread to warn others to avoid using this website - they limit you to 1 withdrawal per week and they limit your withdrawal amount and they even closed and re-opened my account for unknown "investigation" where in the end nothing happened.

I gave up on gambling for the time being, haven't gambled for over 3 weeks now, although the withdrawal was made when my account was finally re-opened after an "investigation".

Yes, it is a shady book, I don't know if they will pay me or not but at least if anyone would google search "Rajahbet Scam" he would see this thread and would be warned to not play at their website, and that pleases me enough.

    What's going on here Dontknow?

You are experienced. You know books verify your ID and sometimes check your account when withdrawing.

If they investigated your account and then paid you how on earth is it a scam?

The 2nd withdrawal was not processed and until now I don't know why.
They haven't provided any details but they were slow to respond and they already assured me that this withdrawal will be processed.

My opinion? They were just looking to screw someone instead of paying out, for them the 1st withdrawal was a withdrawal of a small amount where I could be led to deposit more and lose, but when they saw I am not doing it they just decided to scam me.

    It's very simple and unfortunate.

Be very careful to not make any deposit there.
Your deposit is NOT withdraw-able, so if you deposit £100 you cannot withdraw the £100 you deposited, you can only withdraw the winnings, and if you manage to win big like I did by betting on a baseball game, they would treat your winnings as ones that "were credited in error".

Please avoid using this website by all means whatsoever.

If they want to rectify their wrongdoing they are welcome to do so however that won't change the fact their website is not trustworthy, closing and re-opening accounts for "investigations", crediting "in error" ... just avoid using this website.

The funny thing is you can never overreact to these things. If you don't get paid then post a thread. If you continually are delayed then post.

Like tonight....I called 5dimes three times to make a withdrawal of $3k. They haven't picked up the phone. Am I worried? No. If I was I would not have used them in the first place. All the books want to keep our money.

Anyone ever very keep track how long it takes to get someone in the deposit department on the phone, compared with the payout department? Lol, bet it's not close. They hope that if it is in your account for a few extra days you will lose it.

No, it's not the same ... I've requested the withdrawal on the 3rd of July, it has been 2 weeks since and they are just amateurs who don't know how to run a website.

I received the following email today from them a few hours ago:

Thank you for contacting Rajah Bet.

Your accountwas closed due to a technical issue, which has now been solved. Your withdrawal of 794.31 (full account balance) will also be processed with our next outgoing payments batch.

I would like to apologise, as it seems your experience with Rajah Bet has not been satisfactory. As I am charged with overseeing the Customer Support team, It is my duty to reply to you and ask you kindly to offer your feedback on excatly what has caused your displeasure. I understand that you waited around 7 working days initially while your withdrawal was pending. Could you also be so kind and list the other issues you have been faced with.

Again, I send my deepest apologies.

Many thanks for playing at Rajah Bet. If you need any further help please feel free to contact me again via email.

    Best regards

    Rajah Bet Support Manager

I responded with a clear cut question as to when they are going to process my withdrawal and awaiting a response from them.

    Because of several reasons:

    • When I made a deposit of £100 nowhere in that website it says that deposits are not withdrawable!! They treat your deposits like a bonus money!! You can only cashout the winnings.
    • They processed my 1st withdrawal quickly and with the 2nd withdrawal they took AGES to process it, probably hoping I would play more and lose it.
    • When I won big my account was closed without notice for "investigation" of those big winnings, you see .. if you bet £800 with them on a game, don't expect your account to stay alive afterwards if you win, they would need to "investigate" it, and by "investigating" it I mean at least 1 week before you hear back with anything.
    • They say they have a "24/7 Help" section available on their site but the phone number there (which is a 0844 number, costs to call!!) - is there only to leave messages. The only support available is by email and when you email them you would get a response of notification telling you they only respond to emails between 9am to 5pm UK time, so that is definitely not a 24/7 Help!
    • They don't respond between 9am to 5pm properly, it might take them 3-4 hours to respond back and sometimes more than that!
    • I have requested a withdrawal on the 3rd of July, still wasn't processed - it's not a huge withdrawal, it's a big amount yes - £794 - but why can't I get it processed already?

All those delays, hassles, inappropriate customer service and account suspension and re-opening without notice - all of these make me upset ...

    Now you understand why?

I guess I can understand frustration about a lot of that.

"scam" in your thread title is clearly an over reaction though.

I hope you don't think SBR is a place you can use to unfairly smear books to further your own personal agendas. You'll need to be more careful with your language next time as you won't get a second chance with a thread like this now that you have been warned.

Well, up to this morning I was scammed ... they literally told me I was credited "in error".
Even if the mistake is from their end really, how am I supposed to react and I've been waiting 2 weeks to get this freaking withdrawal processed and this is what they tell me in the end?

No, I'm sorry, there is being rational and defrauding the customer. Have you been to University? Heard of regulation and market failures? One of the market failures is information, where usually the seller has superior knowledge over the buyer, taking advantage of him - that's what I felt, being exploited, they were taking advantage of me, so I fought back pointing them to this thread as well as to all the facts that point out that I just need to get this withdrawal processed and my bets were genuine, not one of those live-bets where there is a huge room for arguments.

So they recognize the mistake, but honestly this industry as many said before, is all about cash, and when it comes to cash no one can be trusted (see the movie Cash 2010 for that saying) - so there you go, if a company is telling you off after 2 weeks of waiting - is this not scam? of course it is.

The fact they chose to rectify the problem and do the right thing might be "ok point" but I would still not give them the benefit of the doubt, simply because they had plenty of time to do what they needed to do, and I'm telling you 100% and can swear on it, they wanted me to deposit more and lose, that's why when I didn't they didn't want to pay out to a winning customer.

They were the ones acting as amateurs, and I'm sorry but they are the ones to blame.
And by the way I won't trust anything they say until they actually process this withdrawal, even if their manager sent me this email ... they are acting like amateurs!

    I totally disagree with you.
    Personal agenda? Smear books?

Have you been reading what I was telling you?
Are you working for bookmakers or something?
Was I making up all this just for fun, as a personal agenda?

You're warning me for being upset and I have all the reasons to be upset, justice is on my side and yet you say I am doing all this for personal agenda?
I thank you for providing me the space to complain about a bookmaker and helping me recover a withdrawal / funds that belong to me, but from here to say I am doing this as a personal agenda?

That's what happens when you self-exclude yourself from so many websites.
