If West Virginia beats Oklahoma today...
Should they be ranked #1 come Monday?
They would have beaten the #1 and 2 teams respectively in the same week and a win today would mean that each of the top 4 teams would have lost this week.
West Virginia's lone loss this year was a neutral court loss to Virginia.
Oklahoma rolls in this one..double digits.

Louisville bias aside, should WVU be ranked #1 if they win.
I realize in the big picture, week by week rankings mean very little.
Possibly but hidden in their record is the fact that they have played one weak ass schedule. Apart from their one loss to Virginia, which is the only ranked team they played in the non conference, their schedule looked about as impressive as Baylors first 7 games in football. We will find out how good this team is today as they haven't beaten anyone away from their own building yet this year.

I'm as big of an OU fan as anyone on this forum and I still find it weird their going to be #1.
They don't feel like a #1 type team. Sure they're good but #1?

I think there is a ton of parity in college hoops this year. I don't see any dominant teams.
UNC and Michigan State would pose some matchup problems for OU in the tourney. It's all about the draw.
No real clear #1 in my opinion. A few different teams would have a legitimate claim.
Villanova
Oklahoma
Kansas
Iowa
Virgina maybe
OU is easy top 5
Thing about the top 5 in college hoops is that they're usually interchangeable, too much parity
OU, KU, WVU probably all top 7 teams
I keep wondering how good OU really is but they have some really good wins.
They absolutely destroyed Villanova and have also beaten Memphis, Wisconsin, Iowa State, and WVU.

Maryland most balanced team in country. Gonna be tough to beat in tourney.
