STFU. Jesus....show a little more class. ND had a strong season. Battled a lot of injuries and lost by a total of 3 points in 2 games against 2 solid teams. We get it. You hate Notre Dame. Don't act like an ass about it.

Do you get the feeling that if ND played Stanford 10 times ND would win 8 of them? I do.

Neutral field ND probably beats Stanford and Clemson. Playing on the road is a 3-point handicap. ND lost by 2 at Clemson and 1 at Stanford. ND was razor close this year to going undefeated and probably finishing #1 before the playoff. They lost two heartbreakers on the final play.

Stanford really has no appreciable home field advantage. Pro handicappers consider it the poorest in all of major college football.

So, Oklahoma is the first team officially in?

    Michigan State/Iowa winner will go.

Clemson goes in if they beat North Carolina.

Alabama will go in if they beat Florida.

If either of those two teams lose, Ohio State sneaks in the backdoor.

    Not much drama. Pretty boring.

    Nailed it...

If Clemson loses a close, and Alabama loses, is Clemson in as the #4?

Fun to see if that happens. Do they still put Clemson in over UNC who'd of just beat them

I think they do, maybe some name bias there. UNC would be #5 or #6, if they turned in at #5 behind Clemson, watch out

I think if this were to happen Ohio State and Stanford would get in.

North Carolina would get in if Stanford loses.

    Here's what I think:

    -Michigan State/Iowa winner in...loser out

    -Oklahoma in

    So there's 2 for sure....

-Bama wins, Clemson win both obviously in

-Bama wins, Clemson loses...I think UNC jumps in regardless

-Clemson wins, Bama loses....Stanford in as the 4 if they win. If they also lose, Ohio State in

-If both Clemson and Bama lose I think Stanford and UNC are in

-If Stanford Bama and Clemson all lose....Ohio State and UNC in

No way they put in Clemson over UNC if they lose....They said that they value conference champions alot and UNC will be top 10 going into this game

Ohio State needs a prayer (Bama and Stanford losses)

UNC has no chance to get in imo. I think you are spot on with everything else.

Disagree.....Only loss was first game of the year and they have passed the eye test since then....With a win over #1 Clemson they will vault into the 4 slot

They love to add conference champs when possible and no one's going to argue UNC off a big win like that

I still think Clemson is a viable #4 if they lose. Maybe they dont get in but their resume will be better than two-loss Stanford and equally as good as UNC

Yes resume would be just as good just games wise but this committee loves conference champions in which Clemson wouldn't have one on their resume

    Guess we'll find out

    Fun conversation nonetheless

most likely Clemson and Alabama win and the field is set, but what fun is that to talk about. UNC will be a handful, in addition to being talented, they're also looking to spoil Clemsons run, plus they're irrelevant every year, this is their chance to be relevant and even be considered for the playoff, even though I think the hopes are slim. But atill, their will be talk ablut them getting in if they winZ

UNC will be ready to play

Bit if Clemson and Bama ein

That will give is 4 big name schools from 4 different conferences

I don't think it'll matter, the way Stanford's defense looked against ND. USC probably scores 50. There's no way USC gets in over ACC champ.

i think Clemson can lose and get in, as long as Alabama loses as well.

Losses this late no good Kraker. I know OU lost to k state in 2003 big 12 champ game and still made bcs final but back then it didn't count in bcs formula. That's days a late loss absolutely kills u. If clemson loses they are out. I'm 93% sure of it

Lesson learning time for those who thought 1 loss ND would get in over 1 loss OU if both had stayed that way.

The committee has a set of criteria and one of them is that no team that did not won a conf title (ND has no conference in football) unless that team is unequivocally better than the 4 teams in the playoff who won their conf.

I am now 100% convinced that after OU pounded #11 Okie st in stillwater, anything shirt of a DD win by ND at stanford wouldn't have been good enough to have them jump OU.
