To be fair, most Presidents join the speaking-tour once they leave the White House. Obama will be getting much larger amounts to speak, because he is actually good at it. Maybe he will be as tactful and charge a bunch of drone-strike victims.

Doubt Obama makes more per speech. His constituency isn't nearly as well off as w's is. All that reallocation of wealth he has attempted over the years hasn't done anything because money isn't the poors problem here. Mentality is.

Exactly. The Clintons have charged outlandish amounts for speeches and are roundly criticized by the right. But I believe when/if they speak in front of vets, they waive their fees, as it should be. Pity War criminal W didn't do the same.
