How do we know he could take a punch if nobody could hit him?

Fine point young lad. Later in his career when he was no longer cat quick, he took plenty of hits. Kept on ticking.

Ali is the best i have ever see, greatest ever, not sure. But at the time i hated the guy, and wanted him to lose every fight. Mostly because of his mouth. But as i got older, I realized just how good the guy was, and why he acted the way he did.

Still not my favorite boxer, but the best i ever seen fight. Favorite boxer of all time Marvin Haglar.

Best fight ever. Jim Watt vs. Sean O'Grady

I agree with most of what you say. Most of my early hatred of Ali stemmed from what my dad had to say about the man. Later on when I started thinking for myself, Ali became my boyhood hero. I lived and died with every fight.
