Does the Sixer ownership even give a crap?

Who in their right mind would even give up three hours of their time to see them on a comp, forget about paying 200 for a ticket?

They could have 100 1st round picks and not be a winning club. The tank is strong but them believing it will lead to a winning group in end is hilarious

    Oh look, it's 54-14 now.

No disrespect to Sixer fans, it's not your fault, but this is a farce, this organization is a joke.

I might head down to a game or two depending on who's in town.

Sixers will be good in the long run, it's just going to take time.

But all the talent is running out of town.
All you got left is Wroten, Carter-Williams looks like he's dropped off some.

I watched avbout 5 minutes of the second so far, I truly believe Mavs can drop a buck fifty on them tonight, but they'll empty the bench mid third, I don't think they can pull a Phoenix last night on the Nets.

Here's the thing, I was born and raised in NJ, I loved the Kidd/Carter teams.
Then for for like almost 15-16 years I got real tired of the NBA, I totally ignored it for the most part.
This is the start of the third year now I've gotten slowly back into the NBA

My two favoirites were Bird and Nash, I love point guards for some reason, I loved DJ when he ran the point too.

Unproven 1st round picks with no winning experience ain't taking them anywhere. No chosen one talked about coming into nba. Mcw, rotten, that guy from Kentucky, they ain't taking them anywhere close to contention

Yeah they'll be good in a few years. To get good, you have to be real bad in the NBA. Embid could be real special.

There is no way they will be good unless they get super lucky one pick turns out to be a superstar. They will most likely have to trade for a superstar and that is how u get good.

Still dont understand their plan. They were a playoff team with all star talent just a few years ago.

Then they decided to blow it up rather than make wise decisions to build a better team.

    Pump the brakes there.

All star talent? Really? They were a mediocre team that lucked out when Derrick Rose tore up his knee in the first round.

Then they tried to become a top 4 team in the East by trading for Bynum and it all went to shit when he decided he didn't feel like playing.

The Sixers have the right idea right now. Don't hate them for this. Hate the league for creating this monster.

    Not necessarily.

How many NBA Lottery picks even make it in the league, let alone live up to their potential/advanced billing?

When you consistently are getting top draft picks, the odds are in your favor. It's not like they are just hoping for one top three pick to carry them. They are going to suck for a while. Between Noel, Carter-Williams, Embiid, the Croatian, and whoever they get in the next two drafts, they're going to assemble talent. I mean shit if they only hit on half of those guys they are looking at becoming a good team.

Some teams like Oklahoma City (Seattle at the time) are fortunate and get a great talent like Durant and then Westbrook and Harden. Let's not forget they also draft Ibaka and Jeff Green who they later traded. Repeatedly drafting at the top will make you a good team eventually. Drafting 12th every year gets you nowhere.

The Draft churns out more and more shit every single year. Players who either aren't ready or not in it for anything other than big paychecks or individual accomplishments.

It goes both ways. There are teams like Charlotte who have had top picks for a decade and can't do shit, then there are teams like okc who hit it big with a few picks and are set for a long time.

Phillys problem is that they are building a team around nothing but young guys. They arent going to win many games no matter the talent level in the NBA with no veteran presence. I really like the guys they are getting, but they are risking their growth as well as their Ws without the veteran leadership around them.
