if Spurs win tonight to go up 2-0 the series is over

and i'll tip my hat to all of you spurs backers and take my medicine like a man,

if miami wins, i believe the rest of the series is 50/50 in terms of who will win even though miami will have flipped home court

spurs the deepest team i've seen in many years.

great coach, great starting cast, great bench, GREAT organization.

i am obviously a lebron fan but if he has to lose i want it to be to a team like the spurs.

enjoy the game tonight, it will be a battle of wills because both teams know it's a pivotal game IMO

    I agree about 2-0

Heat not winning 4 out of 5

    Impossible

It's gonna be like last finals, win every other game then the Heat sweep the last two.

Statements like these are utterly ridiculous. Spurs cannot play on the road. I like Heat tonight. If they lose, they have an excellent chance to win the next two in Miami. Matter of fact, if there was a bet for that, I would bet it large (if they fall 0-2).

Have to disagree that the series would be over. Can see MIA winning next 2 at Home. If OKC did so can the Heat. Long way to go, a lot of funny things can take place.

So what's the point of this thread?

You basically stated that Pop is a great coach. Spurs are deep. And you are a big LeBron James fan. Quality stuff right here.

this isn't football there are only 5 on the court at a time jj. stop getting all wet over 1 win. you just need two good bench players and 1 three ball bench guy and Miami has all that

Spurs cannot play on the road??? Didn't they win against OKC on the road to clinch??? Thought they did, maybe I'm wrong.

i am just stating that although i picked the heat to win the series and am a huge lebron fan, i think the spurs are so good that if they win tonight the 2-0 lead is too much to overcome, barring some sort of cataclysmic event to a spurs star or the whole team. really the only guy i think they cant lose is duncan for defensive purposes just having a big. they can lose manu or tony or splitter and still win this series i think.

before the playoffs began i stated here that i thought the okc/clips winner would rep the west. i thought the spurs busted their nut in the reg season, and that they benefited in 2013 from a weaker west in that the clips were poorly coached under del negro and okc suffered the westbrook injury. i thought the spurs snuck through to win the west in 2013 (first time since 07) more by good fortune than by overall talent.

    i was wrong.

the spurs are a fukking machine. i take it like a man if i lose this series and i owe apologies to all of you for doubting what you already knew about the spurs: they are one of the deepest most talented teams the league has seen in a long time, maybe since the lakers 00-02 who were 10 deep.

for the heat to win this series i think the big 3 has to put the whole team on its back.

    it will be very tough.

if it happens i will not gloat.

i am very worried that the heat will be down 0-2 tonight

While I like Spurs to go up 2-0, series would be far from over. All it would mean is they held serve at home, Miami could do the same. In the immortal words of Charles Barkley, "The series doesn't start until the road team wins a game."

I've always wondered what happens when the home team wins the first six games, does that mean the series never happened?

After three games in will be a 2-1 series.

Game 4 is the big one. Not this game.

    Just my opinion.

I have Spurs for the series but kind of like Miami the next two.
